  I had the best time 4 days at Chateau de Crécy. Besides being so close to Saint Emilion and other great places of interest, the family who owns it is very friendly, helpful and really cares that you have a wonderful time. They own the vineyard and produce their own kinds of Bordeaux wines (red, white and rosé). We also booked the dinner option (to be recommended) and the hosts had invited an English speaking friend and there was an English speaking Russian couple as well. The food (dinner and breakfast) was superb but we probably didn't give it the attention it deserved because we were so busy talking. We also had plenty of the excellent 'housewine'. Breakfast served in the garden next to the pool (Witch is covered and warm in the winter) was a treat and very nice serve - Friendly couple. Farmhouse has been renovated sympathetically with an eye for design. We stayed in the attic room which was large and bright with a skylight window that we could open. We only stayed one night but we liked this location a lot and would definitely stay again for a longer period.
