Nice location in the middele of the jungle. Super nice personel and great excursions. Great rooms (make sure you have one at the upper floor) and swimmingpool area.
Nothing
The location between town and Iguazu Falls was an convenient and secluded. A great place to get away.
I wish there was more hiking opportunities near the lodge.
Warm and helpful staff.
Everything
this was a lovely little respite in the jungle between visits to busy Buenos Aires and excursions in Mendoza. I thoroughly enjoyed the jungle setting and the privacy of the place. the restaurant was excellent, as was the snack bar by the nice pool. the rooms and screened balconies with hammocks were amazing. my stop in Iguazu was to see the falls, but this resort was a nice, relaxing surprise. I rested, got a massage in my room, read books in my hammock and by the pool and enjoyed the excellent food and friendly staff. My day at the falls was incredible, but the stay at La Cantera was such a nice retreat.
Location was literally in the jungle.
A little difficult to find after dark.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. They were able to advise and organise trips very easily for us.
Fabulous breakfast selection! Lovely food at the evening restaurant too. Staff incredibly helpful and friendly. Room was lovely too.
Far from town, but they do offer a shuttle at a few times per day.
Fantastic room, great facilities. Fairly central to both the town centre (restaurants, shops, banks/ATMs) and the falls. Great, helpful staff.
Fabulous room. Jungle location
Location - lovely setting. Pool. Torch lit path to rooms .Beautifully furnished and decorated rooms.Food in restuarant very good and breakfast very nice with gorgeous cakes as well as other nice food. Free bus service into Puerto Iguazu. Staff made sure we had taxi to get to airport at 3.30 am.
We had arranged to be picked up at the airport but they didn't turn up. The price turned out to be more expensive as the hotel used 'the government imposed' exchange rate which gave us a bad exchange rate.
Friendly staff, beautiful location. The rooms are big and comfortable.
Restaurant is average, so you need to get into town to get a decent meal.
Extremely good service, helping with all transfers to the falls and airport. Also a very nice place, felt as being in the middle of the jungle. Restaurant ok.
Everything was great, very friendly and helpful staff, nice pool, great live Spanish guitar at dinner.
Slight damp in room due to nature of very humid environment. Mixed grill was not up to expectations.
Loved the bright rooms. Very comfortable and outdoorsy.
Not really anything. Don't plan to wash a few necessities. Won't dry.
It was a beautiful setting snd the staff were great.
Upon arrival they added taxes and other charges, increasing the price nearly usd$100.
The most pleasing service received from all the staff. The surroundings, the atmosphere in general. The room and enormous bed. Its in the middle of a 600 Hectometer virgin jungle.
Only one waiter for dinner with over 30 guests at one given moment. Next night only one table was taken. Mapear gps maps have it at the other end of Puerto Iguazu. I did not notice if Lat & Long were given,
Everything is right.
Information about trips in iguazu.
friendly staff, comfortable rooms free shuttle to centre great breakfast wonderful manager
Polite and very helpful receptionists.Nice large room, comfortable large bed, efficient aircondition. The view from our balcony was below my expectations- just I imagined jungle greenery to be more attractive. Our first dinner in restaurant was delicious and tasty, fine coctails. But next barbeque party dinner was dissapointing,I wouldnt recommend go for it.Better choice take a taxi and go La Rueda restaurant, which serves delicious river fish and meat creations.Your costs will be almost same as having barbeque, but quaranteed La Rueda kitchen is very good, ingredients fresh and high quality, big selection of wines and good service.
The hotel is located in the forest somewhere in middle between Iguazu city and waterfalls,it is some kilometres from main road.So if you want to go somewhere, practically it is one option-ask receptionist to call for taxi.
Lovely location. Very helpful staff. Great atmosphere.
Nothing really. Because it is reasonably remote be sure you are happy about the eveningeal arrangements or have booked a taxi.
Fantastic rooms- clean and comfy. Great location away from everything. The sounds of nature all around. The afternoon/ evening waitress was very nice.
Breakfast staff grumpy.
Location
Service was excellent
Staying here outside of town in a natural "selva" setting was wonderful. The hotel has a free evening shuttle for a visit to town for shopping or dinner. They have a shuttle for visits to to the national park and falls.
It rains lot so be prepared. There are umbrellas for guests to use for walks between the small 8 room buildings and the main lodge.
The room is big enough and all the facilities are high quarlity. I'm deeply impressed by it's nature environment and good design to close the nature. During the night, standing on the bridges to the rooms, it seems like staying in the movie of Avatar!
The taxi expense is too expensive.
The setting amidst the forest is gorgeous.
The barbecue dinner was a flop. Served late and by that time the barbecue meat was totally dried out. Absolutely no value for money!
Very nice place great facilities
Internet is slow kids can make a big mess and can be loud by the pool
Look no further for a comfortable and relaxing guest lodge experience. From arrival to departure, La Cantera is exceptional. The staff is warm and friendly and meets your every need. The rooms are large, well appointed, comfortable and offer the amenities you need for your stay. After a long day of adventure, sight seeing, walking and just enjoying all that Iguazu has to offer, La Cantera provides an atmosphere and warmth that will engage you in relaxation and rest for what lies ahead tomorrow. Don't miss this opportunity to find yourself in this subtropical rainforest paradise - you will not regret it. (Special mention - Arnoldo - front reception who goes above and beyond to make your stay a wonderful experience.)
Nice rooms and nice location.
Reception staff/management is not honest. Even though we booked a free cancellation/pay later, my credit card was immediately charged on the day of booking. They kept on blaming letsbookhotel.com. The hotel refused to refund the unauthorized transaction from my credit card and refused our cash. Clearly a case of fraude.....
Staff were really helpful and made us very welcome. Helped book our trip to Falls. Extended our check out by one hour to allow us to chill before our flight. Pool was great, location is remote but also a nice sense of being in the jungle.
Prices of drink etc in bar was very high in comparison to Mendoza or Buenos Aires, but every place in Iguazu seems to be high in comparison to the rest of Argentina. Breakfast selection was great if you have a sweet tooth, but savory selection was limited and poor quality. Coffee was good though.
Location was very nice, felt like you were miles from any city. Free evening trip to downtown every night.
Long term guests rooms only done in afternoon and trash not removed from the room for my whole stay there.
Size of room--enclosed porch clean bathroom
Long walk to room hard to find entrance not well marked on road
The rooms and the bed were excellent
The staff were 'false' and did not seem to care. For example, were were kept waiting for 20 mins before a receptionist showed up, then she simply gave us a map and pointed us toward our room, leaving us with baby and bags - it was 9.30pm and dark.. They also seem to be understaffed -1 waitress for over 40 people at their bbq
I felt the rooms were not clean. Cleaner even left towel used for cleaning on our bed!
Pretty jungle setting
Too far from city centre Free shuttle to centre once in morning and once pm at 6.30 pm No drinking water provided in room
