  the staff were very friendly and ALWAYS said aloha every time they passed. The pool and gym were wonderful and we used them every day. I liked having the Kings and Queens market close by as we had a choice of eating establishments. the beach was protected and great for water sports. Down the beach was the Lava Lava Bar - we ate their quite a few... 别人怎么说 » times and had drinks at sunset. Thanks to John and NIck there for a wonderful part of our stay. - The beach was very nice. Our room would have been perfect if we'd had a full ocean view instead of a partial because of a tree. The gym is nice and clean. The concierge was helpful but be warned, it is run by Expedia so no Kama'aina rates. The nearby markets were convenient and a good option if you don't want to eat at the hotel. Several good restaurants as well as a food court are available.

  We were celebrating my father's 70 birthday and the whole family was at the Marriott (10 of us). We had 4 rooms between us at the Marriott. The rooms were so big spacious and partial ocean view was amazing. We had missed our flight leaving Hawaii and needed to check back in (we needed 4 rooms) and the staff (Tania) was amazing extremely helpful ... 别人怎么说 » and understanding. She assisted us and managed to give us an upgrade at the rate that we had initially paid for. We were so appreciative for that. T - We only had one problem-we did ask them to havea a look at our fridge as it froze all our contents and it took them a week and a half of our stay to do anything about it. maybe they didn't understand us ,we had to tell them like 4 times until they replaced it. Everything in fridge had to be thrown out.

  Loved the atmosphere on the grounds with the open-air lobby and tropical landscaping. The on-site restaurant had excellent food and a view of the pool and ocean. They weren't pushy, but available when you needed them.

It didn't face the large area of the garden, but it did have a small garden outside our room. We enjoyed it more because it was secluded. You could see the ocean through the trees.   It's an older resort but that is not a problem at all. Fabulous resort facilities, very clean and comfortable room (partial ocean view) with great service. You can't swim in the ocean directly from the hotel but it is such a dramatic location as the resort is positioned directly on lava rock. Views of the ocean are stunning.
