My partner and I spent 3 nights at The Manhattan and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable with decent bathroom facilities. The hotel also provided free WiFi in the lobby. The location could not have been any better - very close to Times Square, Central Park, various restaurants and the subway. We wouldn't hesitate to book with The Manhattan again and we would highly recommend the hotel to our family and friends!.
所有评语 » I was very impressed with the hotel. It was better than I though being in nyc . I would recommend everyone to stay there. Shopping was rt at the door . Eating also entertainment was rt there. I could not have chosen a better place to stay. The kids enjoyed themselves ,first time in nyc. My brother was with me and he only stay at the Hilton when he travel, but he stayed with me and rated this hotel as very good and that says a lot coming from him. The room I had was on the 22 floor. Very Quiet and could not here any traffic from outsjide. Staff on the front desk seemed very friendly and helpful. The lobby had free WiFI if you wanted it in the room there is a charge so a nice compromise. Great location Central Park, MoMA, Rockerfeller Centre, Times Square a stones throw away. All main sights and Penn Station (train to airport) walkable. The rooms were lovely; the location was great. The staff was really wonderful. We had a problem regulating our thermostat, and with a screaming guest next store. Almost immediately after our call to the desk, the problems were solved. They were incredibly helpful as well holding our bags and helping us obtain transportation to our bus home during a recent snow storm. We loved the hotel. The location is great - walking distance from all the major places like Times Square, Broadway, Central Park. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and cooperative. We enjoyed staying there a lot and want to come back!. The staff is amazing especially Eddie at the reception desk and Hector at the luggage counter. They were extremely kind. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. The location is perfect close to Time square at the same time away fom the noise. The hotel is in a brilliant location, easy to walk to a lot of the main city sights and subway. We also got an upgrade to a Queen room on check in- always a bonus!! Friendly staff, and the ability to book a hotel to airport shuttle made this stay brilliant. Location was perfect, and 7th was safe any time of day or night and close to times square and security. Central Park and subway minutes away. The hotel is mature but very functional and quiet, price was right too. Staff was always helpful and friendly. The large room ,the price & the location. Commercial gesture : Granted free internet access for the 6 nights stay as upon arrival at 10pm we had to wait for one hour as room not ready. (airline crews delayed departure) We have highly appreciated. Location at The Manhattan was great, just around the corner from Times Square. Staff were SUPER friendly and helpful! I could not fault them at all. Free WiFi in the lobby was VERY handy! We had a fab time during our stay at The Manhattan. The location was wonderful, we were able to walk to many of the things we wanted to see. Also, when we were checking in and the clerk saw how tall my husband is, he automatically upgraded us to a king size bed although we booked a queen. loacation: it is in 7th Ave., walking distance to 5th Ave, Empire State Building, and Central Park and Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Modern Art Museum, and the subway station is just 5 minutes walk!. The location was outstanding and the rooms were a decent size; especially the family room we had with a balcony overlooking Times Square! And from our hotel, all other sights were accessible. Excellent Location!!!!!! Most of staff very accommodating, rooms clean and tidy,cleaning staff very friendly,price was reasonable,safe and secure. Overall great but not excellent. Thanks. Nothing to complain about. The hotel is still under construction. The shower had almost no pressure. Nothing!. The rooms are slightly noisy at night- having said that you right in the middle of times square so they are going to be!!. Behind the beds, area's close to walls are old and dusty, so a through move out of furniture and clean and paint would be the fix. Did not mind the tired walls , the furniture was modern and beds excellent. Maid service was perfect and timely. There were no facilities for water, which had to be bought from the local stores. Even then, no refrigeration facilities. Wi-Fi only available in the lobby which was fine but it got a bit crowded. The moment we arrived at around 11pm the staff near elevator(not check-in or concierge) appeared tired and uninterested and clearly didn't want to be there. These are customers first impressions and both guest and management deserve better. Found a lighter under the bed wen I had dropped something . a lot of bell boys standing around not doing anything. I discovered a flood in the foyer near the bathroom. The carpet was soaked and I called to have my room changed. I waited over 45 minutes and I told the desk clerk that I had show tickets and needed to get dressed. The bell person never came to help me move my things to another room. I had to find the manager who rectified the situation. He was very helpful. The waiting line at reception. The corridore leading to the rooms looked a bit dirty in that it looked the carpets hadn't been hoovered in weeks!. The cleaning staff cleaning rooms at 10:30 at night, banging doors, talking loudly and running the vacuum cleaner. I know it nyc and we should still be out, but with small children, we're asleep by 10:30. It was rather hard to continue to sleep with the noise. The front desk, when I called, promptly took care of the issue, but the money we paid, we shouldn't have had to call for them to be quiet. The hallway and room were clean but dingy looking. A little wallpaper, new carpet & some pictures would help update your wonderful hotel. I could not find any complaints with this hotel. It was obvious it was an older hotel which was part of its charm. There was no restaurant or bar in the hotel which might have been nice. The rooms need to be updated a little...we noticed renovations going on for the 5th floor. We were on the 9th. Also, all of the ice machines were broken, which was inconvenient. No free wi-fi access in the room Aircon was faulty No hotel restaurant or breakfast. making it a bit expensive. Would have been nice to be made aware that restaurant /bar main lobby was under construction. Although this didn't effect our stay. It's nice to be made aware. no public rooms, bar etc. Lack of free in-room internet and somewhat noisy A/C which is quite outdated. Only problem was the random times of room cleaning. There were not any brochures in the room with nearby restaurants. We ended up spending $145 for dinner the first evening. The low pressure of the shower. The hotel didn't have a restaurant. Lobby internet is spotty. The wifi is shockingly bad I went down and reported it 3 times. Had to receive business emails though phone. I expected better. The toilets were continueously blocked and the response time was a little slow. We did not like the idea of having to pay for Wi Fi. The hotel is very old and would need a renovation. They had started to renovate the lobby, but also the rooms are little worned compare to european standard. Nothing to complain about.
