there was nothing I did not like but the rooms were a bit small, I would have liked to have a rollaway bed for a child who was staying with me

The friendly and efficient staff - so willing to help. The hotel staff upgraded my room as they were so busy that Sat. night.
Friends who were staying there complained that the rooms were very but the hotel has the advantage of being so centrally located and quiet.

I like the fact that the staff actually waited for use to leave the hotel then clean our rooms, no matter how long we took, and when we came back to the hotel it was clean and nice like the first day that we were there.
There were things that were wrng about the hotel but its not like they can change it within a month, but the elevator was really tiny, other then that the stay was great.

Location, close to places of immediate interest. The accommodation was quiet. All services up to standard. (a commente about a failed light in our room was attended to within the hour) Access to a no-charge computer (its constant use indicated how popular it was; all users seemed to be using it to gain information, not for frivolities).
The quoted total charge at the commencement of our stay was incremented by 15%, due to four seperate taxes. I feel that guests should be warned of this extra outlay, if only for budgetting purposes.
the closeness of everything
This hotel was older, but you can tell it was a very swanky place in its prime. It was clean and was a great place to keep your things and lay your head down at night. It worked fine for us and the location was perfect for all the things we wanted to do while we were in New York. We had no serious complaints and would stay there again in the future. It met our needs for price and location.
There were a few minor things that were broken, but it was very livable. The pipes in our wall got loud at about 11:30 every night but it only lasted for a few minutes.
