The location is ideal for walking through the French Quarter. Great spot!
One morning there was no hot water. It was quite sad to take a cold morning shower in December!
Nice location staff perfect very kindly room clean and comfortable
Wifi in s
Great location and super friendly staff and not too expensive. Staff was constantly trying to help us with suggestions on where to go, if we needed to have something arranged for transportation, etc, couldn't be any better.
The hotel is a beautiful old building with lots of character, so don't be surprised if you can hear someone walking in the room next to you.
Great venue with a wonderful location.
The location in perfect. The staff is very helpful and nice, they
indicated us great places to eat in the French Quarter. The room is
charming and pleasant.
Parking Lot. The hotel has a small one, so if you are lucky you can get
a spot there, but it costs u$ 25,00 per day. No elevator, which is only
an issue if you have large bags. The bathroom and specially the shower
box is very small! There's no room, not even for a toothbrush, as
there's no counter, just the sink.
Rooms very nice, clean with lovely bathroom with spa bath. Location
very central in French Quarter and nightlife. Everything in easy
The room was up four flights of stairs so may not be easily accessible
for some people.
The attentive staff was very friendly and informative.
Gave us a lot of good tips about the city.
The bathroom was not cleaned when we checked in. After many times of asking for our bathroom to be cleaned and couple of visits by the maid service it was still not cleaned properly. It was quite disgusting to see hair and footmarks all over the place. We decided to clean it ourselves.
Easy access to Bourbon st
Kind of small
Up grade to a balcony room
Staff was first rate- rooms clean-breakfast adequate-location very good.
First room we were given[R18] was so small it was laughable. We were
told the facility was an old bakery & I swear r18 was one of the
ovens! When the toilet wouldn't flush & almost over flowed we
were upgraded right away to room #1 on the courtyard for the same price.
Lucky for us we were only in r18 about an hour -the staff was most
helpful & took care of the situation in a very professional manner.
cool design, spacious, excellent location, friendly staff.
Fantastic location, very comfortable
Staff went out of their way to insure that we had a comfortable stay.
Parking is a bit of a problem but can solve.
Everything! The staff was amazing the room was amazing we didn't want to leave!
Atmosphere and location
Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and bright
Parking not readily available and had to park several blocks away.
The hotel is in a perfect location with tastefully decorated rooms.
The staff are über friendly and will help you with anything. It doesn't matter that there's no elevator as the staff help you with your bags without even asking them to.
I will definitely stay here again.
Wifi doesn't reach the 3rd floor of the main hotel.
Wonderful hotel, clean, comfortable, stylish and great location. Staff, especially Eric, were incredible.
The staff was great, the room was clean and nice, the location was great
Eric was very professional, very helpful, he deserves a raise. Location
was excellent. Accomadations were wonderful. All in all, 5 stars!!!!!
It is conviently located in the French Quater.
Small room, tinybathroom, a/c not functioning [properly and many
steps to get to room.
Great location, nice rooms and quiet; the stairs can be challenging depending on your state of mind ;-)
Location and staff were great
Walls were paper thin. People next door sounded like they were in the
room with us when talking at a normal tone. No operational elevator so
had to go up and down 3 flights of stairs each time we left the room.
The staff was very friendly. The room cost was a bargain in the
Had to travel a maze of stairs and landing to get to the room in the
attic of the building. The air conditioning system could not get the
room cooler than 75 degrees at 10:00 pm.
Staff was very helpful and courteous.
The loud air conditioning that went on and off every few minutes and required us to use ear plugs to sleep.
Location, architechture and the fact that its a small boutique hotel.
It has a great feel!
Bfast wasnt too good even though I paid extra for it.
Brilliant location. Super clean and comfortable. Genuinely friendly and helpful staff. Lovely old building.
Room was tiny but had everything needed. Loved it.
Location, easy access to attractions and nearby areas
The first room we stayed had a lot of noise with the air conditioning system, we did not rest well. We requested to be moved, it was better the 2nd night.
Staff was great. Very friendly.
A little noisy but not too bad.
Location, in French Quarter, not far from the sites and Bourbon
street, quiet at least during time I stayed, clean as a whistle,
professional staff. I'd recommend the hotel to the younger, single
sort.but see 5.
$150.00 deposit. Apparently the hotel anticipates hosting ruffians or
rockers and that makes me a little nervous--I come as professional and
avid shopper. To be fair, maybe that is what all hotels in the French
Quarters have to do. Scary.
the design, location, staff
room size: too small
Central location, staff friendliness, quaint and quirkie around a courtyard setting. Our room very comfortable.
We had a top room which was very comfortable. Lots of stairs to climb as it is an original building, so no lift. But we were informed of this before booking.
Great location. We had a balcony room which was great to sit and watch the world go by
I loved the staff, the room and the location.
The all-night noise from loud, partying guests wasn't controlled by the staff.
We really enjoyed the workers they were very friendly and helpful. Also, we love the location of the hotel its in walking distance of everything.
Had a great stay at the Hotel Royal. As a first time visitor to New Orleans, this hotel was in the perfect location. The staff were very friendly, and the rooms were quaint and simple. Beautiful courtyard out back - would definitely return!
The staff was wonderful the room was very nice especially the balcony the price was also very nice
The staff was very helpful and the hotel was located close to eating, shopping, and entertainment. Housekeeping was very good.
Amenities were lacking......
The fantastic hospitality given by the staff
No Elevator and the steps and stairwells were dimly lighted
We loved the room and the balcony as well as the friendly helpful staff. We received great info about the area and where to go for great food.
That there wasn't a mini fridge in the room, or any kind of a dresser to store clothes just a closet.
The staff was by far the best hotel staff I've dealt with. The bell man take their jobs to another level, very friendly and extremely helpful. The room was great, but even if it wasn't the staff would of made up for it.
I can honestly say there is nothing bad I can say about hotel royal or it's staff.
Authentic, great character with great staff. I've stayed in many boutique hotels and really enjoyed this one!!!
Geat location, Royal Street is a classy place, with small art galleries, antique shops and restaurants. One block from Bourbon St. but the hotel is very quiet with friendly staff and great rooms. you are a few steps away from Jackson Square and the River
Nothing, it was a Great find!
The location was nice.
The staff was excellent.
The Hotel was architecturally traditional and the hard wood floors, brick walls and tall and skinny double French doors were charming. The location was perfect. The staff was friendly and very accomodating.
Third floor sucked. I inquired about moving down a floor and they were to get back to but never did.
The staff was amazing! If I was sick I could have stayed in this room the whole trip and not been restless or disappointed- it was beautifully appointed!
The location, the staff and the atmosphere.
No accessibility of an ATM
The Petit room is adorable! The hotel is very charming and clean and comfortable.
There was a TV show filming in the courtyard and we were not informed. It was very annoying for two young adults just trying to explore and get drunk on bourbon street and stumble to our room. One night, a band of cockroaches ran across the hall.
