A quirky, eclectic family-run hotel in the heart of South Beach. The James Hotel is owned and run by Sr. Torre and his daughter, and the care and love they have for their property is evident throughout. The staff is wonderful and accommodating - without exception, every staff member was happy and helpful. The lobby and exterior are decorated with innumerable personal touches: Whimsical seahorses attached to the façade, an antique piano in the corner, bright pastels and artwork everywhere... it'.
所有评语 » Very friendly staff! It was an amazing value. Lots of space in the room, yes the furniture is a bit out of date, but it worked perfectly fine and it was very clean. I will always stay here when I'm in south beach. They are also very flexible with check in and check out times. My flight arrived at 9am and they let me into my room well before the designated check in time. The location of James Hotel is excellent and the owner and staff were very pleasant. Although the tired decor could do with a complete refresh it's real value for money - especially if you're really only looking for somewhere central and reasonable to get some sleep between exploring wonderful Miami South Beach!!. My Mom and 2 sisters and I especially liked the location to the venue we were going to. It was also close to shopping, restaurants and the beach. The staff were friendly and helpfull. The hotel was clean and delightfully decorated! .. Free parking!. Free off street parking included. Fun decor, staff was very accommodating, an endearing family runs the business. My room was huge with a good view. Able to check in at 11:00. I would definitely stay here again. I found the staff to be amazing, especially the gentleman who greeted me every morning by first name. Also the location: 3 blocks from the beach, half a block from Lincoln Road with all of its amazing shopping. The 'patchwork' tiled floors and Mexican style decor makes the hotel look tired and somewhat neglected!. We didn't like the fact that there was no coffeepot in the room nor in the lobby. The water pressure was almost none. It was a "no frills" hotel. They were doing some sort of construction which prevented me from being able to nap on my arrival day but this as well as other work I witnessed demonstrated they are obviously making efforts to make the hotel better. They do allow smoking but once I opened the windows in my room the smell went away. If you're looking for a swanky s.beach stay look elsewhere but I would recommend it for easy going travelers who aren't too picky. I liked everything about this place. The décor is Latin, similar to places I have stayed at in Mexico. rooms a little tired - but need to consider the price - value was excellent. The parking lot is rather small, and it gets really crowded during the weekends. It may get noisy over the weekends. need repairing; door didn't close; not good cleaning;. Do not expect much of you pay so few for a such city and location. Rooms had everything: air conditioning, TV, microwave, refregirator, but everything was in a low quality. But I expected that, so it did not spoiled my vacation. The smell in the lobby. Bathroom door did not close, we could not regulate or switch of ac, so out room got very cold at night. Very basic, in some parts, it did not look clean. It needs to be refurbished. It was a shabby hotel. For 100 dollars it was very overpriced. If should advertise itself as a hostel, not a hotel. WAYYY to expensive for the value. Dirty slept with my clothes on, no telephone in room, no frigo bar, no rug on floor...need I go on worst hotel I have stayed at in a long time!. arredamento antiquato, aria condizionata non funzionante, puzza di sigaro ovunque. Internet didn't work and when asked the receptionist answered that they couldn't do anything about it. I went to the hallway and took power from the router and back on... it started working... I basically had to do this everyday since reception refused to assume the problem or do anything to solve it. Air conditioning was not adjustable, room was too cold, room layout and furniture needs improvement. Cleanliness leaves lot of improvement. Bedbugs!. Disgusting hotel, everything was dirty. Bed was used.
