This is one of the cheapest locations I stayed in NY, where even the YMCA (where they treat you like a dog) charges 119 USD per night. Friendly guys at reception, possibility to leave suitcase there after check-out (for $4), there was even breakfast included in the price (very very basic though, but all I need in the morning is a coffee to get me going :-), easy to meet fellow travellers (the people staying there were all really communicative and friendly and interesting to talk to) in the lounge, which is the only place to get free wifi on your mobile or laptop in the hostel

I really liked everything. It is such a cosy place to stay. Everything what a person may be in need of in one's travel is available. Wifi, beverages, all facilities work excellently. Location is wonderful, too.
I think that without the stuff such high standards would not have been achieved.

This place can only be as good as the people who stay there - the walls
between rooms in the sleeping area don't reach the ceiling and every

I liked Spencer, the guy at the front desk. He was always helpful and
polite. And also one of the guys that cleaned, I think is his brother,
because they looked similar. The place is definitely what you pay for,
which is cheap, and that's the point.
