Hotel 140 was a great place to stay for me. I was traveling alone and it was located just a block from the train station. The front desk was great to help me in directions of the city. Very friendly staff. Also after I left and was at the train station having a hard time figuring out which way to go, a young man asked if he could help. I did not recognize him from checking me out of the hotel. He went out of his way to help me. He was not at work and I did not recognize him so he could h.
所有评语 » Hotel 140 is located only a 5-minute walk from the rear exit of Back Bay Railroad Station. Upon arrival I had taken the train from Springfield, MA. I followed the drive where the local buses pull into Back Bay Station right out to Clarendon Street and bore left. I had just a half-block walk from that point to the front entrance of the hotel. I discovered that the hotel had upgraded my single room reservation to a Queen size bed (and more spacious room) at no extra charge from my original re. It was easily accessible from the Mass. Turnpike and was across the street from the John Hancock Building. The room, although small, was clean and the staff was very cordial, helpful and informative. The hotel is in a great location. Great restaurants and easily reachable sites are just around the corner -- the Boston Public Library, Trinity Church, the subway, touring vehicles and Fenway is a short, easy walk from the hotel. Boston is now my favorite city to visit and Hotel 140 certainly add. Comfortable hotel which does what it sets out to do well which is to provide a decent place to stay in a fantastically central location at a reasonable price. Staff were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Although breakfast isn't provided there is an excellent 'Flour' bakery across the road; well worth visiting. We enjoyed our stay there and would certainly book to stay there again. I really like the hotel and the front desk service. They gave a couple of options of rooms to choose(even an apartment)...i finally stayed in a standard room on my choice .I would love to come back and absolutely recommend it. Location is great, facilities are good and it is absolutely consumer oriented. They have coffee in the lobby what i thought it was a wonderful thing !!. The staff were the most helpful. nice human being I have ever had anything to do with on my travels over the last 33 years. Nothing was too much trouble. Amtrak had an accident and we were suddenly left on a Saturday evening with no where to stay and they spent 4 hours finding accommodation, helping me with a flight for the next day - I could just go on and on. Front desk staff very accommodating. After a lock malfunction on checking in, staff were great in seeing to a temporary room and then an upgrade. Very helpful with concierge services and always smiling. We felt like family. The stay in Boston was made even better through the location of this very understated hotel. Will always return to this hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. It is really easy to get to Boston using the T (Back Bay station is only a 3 minute walk away) and you can even walk to the city centre if you prefer. Back Bay has loads of bars and restaurants itself which are very near to Hotel 140. The staff was really wonderful. Steve and McGuiver were really hospitable and helpful. The stored my bags when I checked in early and checked out late. The also got me checked into my room early as a courtesy after a red eye flight from the West coast. I had a roomy queen size room and was quite comfortable. I understand they have some very small rooms but even so you can't beat the location. It's the best! Close to everything and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Loved my stay. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Our luggage was stored for us until check-in time. The lobby had comfortable seats with a complementary coffee bar. The hotel was spotless and the room spacious and comfortable. The location couldn't have been better. I was anxious about the parking and was relieved once I learned the hotel provided a parking voucher for the parking garage next to the hotel. The staff was excellent and were helpful. Great location, comfortable bed, had a fridge and glass glasses and crockery mugs. The building is a former YWCA and the hotel proceeds are returned to the YWCA for community programs. We did not know this when booking. Location was great. Easy booking through letsbookhotel.com. Nice personalized touch to have staff call me directly to confirm my stay. Desk staff easily made recommendations for late night snacks and drinks. Hotel room was very nice, the staff were helpful and polite and the location is great. Within walking distance of everything and the common around the corner. Would recommend the hotel to travellers in Boston. The room was nice and confortable. The location was important because the hotel is near malls and newbury st .. very important specially in winter ..! And the best, it's a 50 mts de la estación back bay!!!. The cafeteria which used to serve breakfast had disappeared since my last stay two years ago. Cleaning is not very accurate but fine. Nothing at all. Upon check in, I wish someone would have helped me with my bags from the taxi to the front desk. I wished they had a better gym. Only 2 pieces of equipment does not make a gym. Because of their great location however there is a huge gym just a few blocks away that offers day passes. nothing!! it was great. I didn't think the beds were "true to size." The bed in our room was a "queen" but it was definitely a full sized bed. Very little clothes hanging space. Room was on the small side but we were in Boston to see Boston not a hotel room. Bed was a little hard and pillows were kind of weird, but otherwise fine. No complaints with the hotel, only the guests staying next to us who were very loud all night with noises we did not wish to experience!. Nothing. Only one minor gripe - No facilities for tea drinkers in the room - coffee machine only did coffee, no hot water!. I couldn't figure out how to use the coffee maker to heat water the first night, but I got help the second night. It was a bit convoluted to use the guest laundry. Nothing. Breakfast not included but that didn't bother us. squeakly door in bathroom-- which has probably been corrected by now. Didn't really know how to use coffee maker, couldn't make a cup of tea, no boiling water, would have preferred an electric jug, and tea bags etc. would have liked access to cereal bowls for our BYO breakfast. There is a secondary entrance in Stuart street, useful but not controlled by the staff. Nothing. The bed was only a double for 2 of us. The view was a roof-top of rocks and ventillation pipes. Should have a ramp in place of some stair to accomdate luggage issues. We had a towel with makeup on it. Was not mine as I dont wear it! And had a dirty cup on coffee machine. Hotel does not do twin beds! Not so good when sharing with friends. No facilities to dine in the Hotel. Our room was a little on the small size but acceptable. Nothing. Shower and TV difficult to navigate.. needed help with those. Shelf over sink in bathroom shaped slightly dangerously for head. No hook or towel bar within reach of the shower when wet. Sound isolation between rooms not optimal, but luckily there was someone in the next room only for a few minutes. No good place to sit in the room due to size. No place to sit at a table and eat, etc. When drinking coffee, no place to put your cup???. No safe in the room for valuables. Hotel did feel normal and secure, despite this. Walls a bit thin. We could hear our neighbour making endless phone calls and know everything about his private life now. Blanket rather thin for winter. Nothing, but would like to take a note that the space is really limited. It will be difficult to move around if 2 people share a standard room. nothing.
