Abbey Court Hotel was perfect for our needs. We stayed in the family room, which has the children's room separate from the parents', separated by 2 doors, so there is privacy whilst still easy access to the children, and they are within hearing distance. The rooms are small but with enough space to move around. They are very clean; tastefully decorated; there is plenty of drawer and cupboard space to unpack clothes into; the shower is excellent - strong and hot; and the beds very comfortable. W.
所有评语 » The wife of the owner of the hotel was one of the nicest people I have ever met. She was so kind and made me a sandwich in the middle of the day when the kitchen was obviously not open. She knew I was having a horrible day and was so sweet, purely out of the graciousness of her own heart. What a lovely hotel and staff. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and personal. Excellent, first class, best hotel I have stayed in for a long while, clean, very well appointed throughout, friendly, food good, helpful staff, lovely atmosphere, and ambiance, lovely airy rooms, nice communal areas, great location for town and harbour, not expensive, and extremely good value for money, would recommend 100% . And why only 2 * ?. The Hotel was user friendly and 15 minute walk into St Peter Port which was just right. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The Hotel has two stars because it does not do evening meals but don't let the two start status fool you the accommodation is great. Good location. Liked the extensive hours that breakfast was available. Room cleanliness. And, the owners went out of their way to help us with an out=of=the=ordinary problem, as well as staff and owners overall being responsive and pleasant. Very relaxed atmosphere. Able to come and go throughout the day, to use the bedroom and lounges. Helpful staff. Very comfortable bed. Lovely room. The room and shower room were very clean. Wide range of food available for breakfasts. Very comfortable. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff. Manager very helpful re taxis, local facilities etc. Great prices for time of year and location. Our double room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the shower fantastic! The staff were incredible - not once, but twice going way beyond the call of duty to help us out. I loved everything about my 7 day stay in this hotel. The owners and staff went out of their way each day and I felt part of their family. Nothing was too much trouble. They 100% combine professionalism with kindness. the room was very clean, bed very comfortible, staff very helpfull and friendly, breakfast very fast. Excellent friendly place to stay for the price! Shower was exceptional, bathroom clean and functional, would seriously consider bringing my wife here as there is no need to look for an alternative. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay at Abbey Court, we had booked for 2 nights, but were so impressed, we stayed an extra 6 nights, location, cleanliness, and extremely helpful staff. As one of the cheapest hotels on the island, it is definitely one of the best. The room was spotlessly clean and very quiet at night. There was a 'plumbing' noise in our room which when we reported was dealt with extremely efficiently with concern for us and rectified immediately and v satisfactorily. I cant think of anything I did not like. Nothing. Open plan bedroom / toilet - with direct view from bed to toilet! Would have been nice to have coffee / snacks available during the day - while lounging around the garden - but again staff very helpful re local availability. Nothing. no wifi in rooms :(. I was only able to stay one night. It was a good 15 minutes walk from the centre of town, which is fine on the way there, because it's all downhill, however, coming back in the evening after a meal was a different matter.... However, a bit of exercise never did anyone any harm!. Limited availability of bar snacks during the day. Nothing. nothing. Can't egt wifi in ALL the rooms - however there is a large communal area where the wifi works perfectly fine!. Nothing. Parking is always an issue in old cities. Uphill walk from harbour. I thought the hotel would be closer to a bus stop for convenience around the island, but I understand that a new system was implemented just prior to our arrival an there was a lot o confusion. We just took a taxi. For a two star hotel you can't fault it - I will stay there again. Though close to bus stop, a long way from centre of town (and a steep climb); aproblem because very limited scope for evening meals except by going into town centre. This is not for publication but to be helpful: both bedside lamps were out of action and, despite asking, were not replaced till we took one to reception. Radiator in another room wouldn't turn off. Fire extinguishers should possibly be checked as one was leaking (but I failed to mention it). Toasters in dining room drove people mad as were so slow. Slightly further from town than suggested in advertising. My room was at the front and the noise from traffic was quite loud. Had to leave my window open as it was so warm. Not a criticism of the hotel just a comment really. nothing. its a good 15 mins walk down a very steep hill from the restaurants, but there is a bus every 10 mins that stops 50 yds away. Nothing , I exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Bedroom was a little cold - although to be fair it was very cold in Guernsey at that time!. a lot of stairs. A common problem with hotels it was too hot in the room. The duvet was winter one and there was no sheet or other lighter option. none!. The Bar never seemed to be open. The long steep climb from the town. Limited non-cooked breakfast choice (prefer continental) High fixed head shower, difficult for short people Heating came on too late in morning for comfort.
