  We arrived a few hours early, as our room was not ready we decided to head to the bar, there was a roaring fire and we were greeted by the lovely barman, we ordered drinks and had a spot of lunch, which was a simple sandwich, just what we wanted! The room was warm and cosy, beautifully decorated and a fabulous view from the window, - My husband and I traveled here with our 3 month old son and had a wonderful stay. The island is so beautiful and we very much enjoyed being in a remote part of it. We were in the main building on the second floor, so we had a lovely view of the lakes and wifi reach our room (even though I know they like you to become "unplugged" for a bit). The fireplace in the sitting room was so nice. We sat by it for several hours one evening as our son laid on a blanket next to it...he had never seen a fire

  I stayed in the attic room, which was very quaint and had a ton of character, I absolutely loved the room. The location of this hotel is perfect for relaxing or hiking, it is located right near the water with amazing views.
