We booked a suite and it was worth every penny, great views great room great breakfast.
We had a swim and had the pool to ourselves its a little dated and in need of some TLC but you would have to be a real winger to complain about this detail. The lifts worked fine but we opted to walk up the tastefully decorated stairs.

Stayed for a weekend in February 2013 and we enjoyed every minute. Hotel very welcoming, clean, nice and warm.
Restaurant is mega quirky and a joy to relax in.
Leisure area utilised, sauna excellent combined with dips in the pool (Which was a bit fresh!)
The breakfast was - delicious. Plenty of choice to be had both hot and cold.
All in all a very enjoyable, relaxing stay and we will book again without hesitation!

For example -asked for warm milk for coffee on first morning and this choice was remembered each succeeding morning. Local walks were helpfully printed for us. Fantastic location, really friendly staff. Room was lovely and the decoration was modern, crisp and clean. The breakfast was amazing. Extremely well presented hotel and I love the period decor and the ornate wood paneling in the dining room.
