Overlooking Llandudno Beach, the family-run Ambassador Hotel is just a 5-minute walk from Llandudno Pier. The seafront hotel has a traditional restaurant and wonderful sea views. The bright and airy bedrooms are traditionally decorated, and each has a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with free toiletries. All rooms have internet access, and some have views of the Great Orme. Guests can enjoy beverages and light snacks in the comfortable conservatory lounge. The elegant restaurant serves light lunches and hearty evening meals, including freshly caught seafood and local produce. Just 700 metres from Llandudno Railway Station, the Ambassador Hotel is a 5-minute drive from Llandudno Golf Club. On-site parking is available, and Snowdonia National Park is within a 20-minute drive.

We particularly appreciated the friendly atmosphere and the wonderful service provided - information on Llandudno, ordering taxis, etc. We were given a choice to upgrade to a spar room for an extra £10. It was worth it for the sea view and the spar bath.Good location.very good hotel andvery comfortable Value for money. everything was a, one, thanks for a great weekend.

The whole range of services available. One could have breakfast, loungeabout in the lounge until coffee-time, take some launch, perhapsventure out - we're talking mid-November! Return for "afternoon tea"and take dinner @ the appropriate time. Nice big family room althoughonly two of us and a sofa! So many hotel rooms are too small toaccommodate one of these.The views were lovely, the reception staff were fantastic, nothing was to much trouble for them. Location is good. food was good. Having read some of the reviews before my stay I was a bit apprehensive about the hotel. However, I found staff friendly, the breakfast was very good and having booked a car space, it was avaliable for us. An enjoyable few days.I can honestly say that there is nothing I can complain about. I cant believe some of the things people have moaned about. The staff are very helpful and the meals are excellent. This is the second time we have stayed in the hotel in the past 6 weeks. We will use this hotel from now on. The lift. It did not start until later and I was concerned to see elderly people who had walked down the stairs but could not get back to their rooms. One lady was stuck downstairs for at least 2 hours, this to me was not acceptable. I was also not impressed that I could not purchase a bottle of water from bar, only a glass. Lift in dinning room to 3rd floor kept breaking down. the beds in the room were not very comfy although managable!. a bit dated, i own a flooring company and all the carpets are shabby in the top of the hotel, but thats my trade and i would look closer i suppose. Early dinner. It needs painting, sprucing up on the exterior. hairdryer went bang after two minutes use. Reported to staff on departure. Also slight leak behind toilet causing wet patch on bathroom floor.Disappointed there was no entertainment or music in the hotel as there was when we stayed there last November. The room that we were allocated was vey dated and substandard for the price we payed. The furniture was dated, the windows were dirty and the room was overlooked by another room. We were relocated to a far superior room. We have stayed at this location before and its the first time we have been given this type of accomodation.Told I could book a parking place and did, when I arrived there wasnt one. Had to pay £2.80 for water inc a bottle deposit to save water waste, yet they change the towels everyday. breakfast was poor and no lifts after midnight. Beds were a bit hard (we are big people) and curtains let in street light. Parking was on street but free over night until 10.30, but was ok. Althought the breakfast was first class, it was on the small side. Confusing to find the breakfast room!. Beds not very comfy. Had to pay to park the car and the choice of evening menu was limited and not very good value for money.bed linen was poor, bed could have been better quality,. having to pass through bar, dinning room to go to bedroom. there was a smell of stale food in all publik areas. needs brightening up. Meal time slot of 1 Hour for Dinner and Breakfast inadequate for a hotelof this size and rating. dirty walls behind bed pillows. all of the restaurant staff were young and from various country's, this caused a few problems at dinner with their lack of good english. hotel was a bit dated needs decorating and change of furniture.
