Friendly Staff/Excellent Food/Good Location. That the staff was so kind and helpfull that if you had any problems nothing was a bother for them they where always about making your stay at the county hotel as happy as they could.

Needs updating, more sothe bar area and decor. The Breakfast. The man on recetion was very helpful. its location in town. The main benefit of staying in this hotel is the location. A good location and easy parking. early dinners. Central heating was on full blast from about 5 P.M. until the followingday and there appeared to be no way to control the temperature in theroom. Had to open the windows to klet some of the heat out, but thisonly had limited effect!. There was only alittle problem i thought needed logging that if you where a diabetic or on a controlled diet there was no sweetners in the bowl of different sugars in the resturant or either in the rooms.I am sure that if you would of asked at reception i am am sure they would of got some for you.To us that was a miner problem but to someone who was a diabetic it might have been a bigger problem. Lack of Car Parking. The decor was a bit tired and in need of some attention. The fact that there was only 1 sitting for meals at 6-30. Advertised outside at £31 per night and we paid £40 per night. Unsure as to why. It's a bit old and I'd say it needs a refurbishing.having to pay more than the advertised price because I booked on the internet. Basic accomodation, hotel decor needed updating, television in roomdid not work.Very dated and tired. The only reason I would recommend this hotel is because of the staff. noisy until late, staff not that good. Car parking. It is in dire need of refurbishment. I could feel the springs of the mattress in the bed, therefore uncomfortable.i thought it looked old fashioned, the bathroom was poorly decorated and poor shower. We also were unable to turn heating down and it was very hot in our room wich affected the quality of our sleep. The staff were friendly though. Rooms needed refurbing and my room smelt musty. The hotel is badly maintained. The exterior and interior is poor. The ensuite bathroom had stained lino. In the morning we were woken up very early by an air vent outside our window (so no lie in). The bar was not open during the afternoon and no food was available. There was quite a lot of traffic noise and the tea making facilities in the room had not been refreshed after the last guests departure.it was old fashioned uncomfortable and even though I was booked in for two nights only put up with one night at of necessity.
