Frendly efficient staff and everything is very clean. It's not the least stuffy and you feel at ease there. An encouraging price structure sympathetic to what for many people are hard pressed times. An alternative for me would have been to have made two 200mile car journeys in one day rather than one. We had a lovely friendly welcome from the lady on reception who gave us all the information needed about the hotel and the facilities provided. The lady in charge at breakfast was very friendly and welcoming and the young cook, in his first week at the hotel, cooked our breakfast to perfection.

I liked the fact that the room temperature can be adjusted according to individual room needs and not a central controlled system. Breakfast was good with free breakfast for kids. Pub next door,above average pub food, a little more expensive but you get what you pay for.Would stay again. Everything is pretty much the same in all hotels. You know what you are going to get, Where it is, clean comfortable and in working order. Interested and friendly staff. Will the PI picture be upside-down game?. The reception lady on arrival was lovely and so helpful, also the breakfast staff were great and the food was lovely and hot. Decor of room was very smart and we would definitely stay there again. Whilst small the room was clean and pleasant as was the bathroom, however it is a pity the shower head wasn't at the top of the wall so that a person over 5ft 9ins could get under it. The Beagle inn next door was a lovely country pub with great food. General layout was good. Loved the breakfast. It was clean and staff freindly. The reception & the bedroom. There was a point when breakfast was slow or became very busy as customers arrived all at once. This could be solved by with a buffet setting put out on a peak period. You need more staff at breakfast time on busy weekends. The staff coped well in very trying circumstances. You might also look at your suppliers who were a big part of the problem. Signage to Hotel could have been better. Bathroom could do with being updated - but OK. Drink prices in the Beagle next door. Nothing. Uht milk. Thats all. Lack of 240V AC point for electric toothbrush. Nothing. Contractors above me banging about early. The arrangements for food, apart from breakfast, were on the same site, but separate, which was fine in the dry but less so if it were to have been raining. Very poor management when it came to the catering side, had to wait over an hour both days just for a cooked breakfast!. Were woken up both nights by guests in room above ours. I was unable to find a map showing all the premier Inns / so that we could Inn hop in this country. Shower head stiff to move. Nothing. There was no breakfast for us, nobody told us we had to order the night before, which is ridiculous . A little difficult to find - use map from Premier Inn, not sat nav with post code. Road Noise off A14 was bad probably due to wet roads and less tree cover. Stayed in new wing for the first time - never suffered before on last 10 stays in other parts of the hotel. Start cleaning rooms early. what's not to like? Difficult to find the hotel!. letsbookhotel.com didnt communicate that I was attending with two children. It was thought that I was in a family room with single occupancy. Shower gel had run out and not been replaced. We found the bed very uncomfortable and the pillows either very hard or very springy. Both made our heads sweaty and because of the springyness of the "soft" it meant lifting ones head about six inches to get clear enough to move to another fresh area. On arrival in the middle of the afternoon the coffee machine (a nice idea) was out of milk and would not be refilled until the breakfast staff came in in the morning. The room was for a family of four, but all the beds were all in a line with no gap between, a double, a put you up and the sofa of which was made into a single, the children had to clime over each other to get in and out of bed plus in the night was a bit of a nightmare as we had to clime over to go to the tolilet. Also we expected a bath but only had a shower. Only one tea or coffee in room, shower was very small. Bathroom on whole a little compact. A large group staying at the hotel for a rally car event dominated the hotel and were a little rowdy. The bed was enormous. The duvet seems to have been nailed to the bottom of the bed, which meant it was impossible to loosen it round my feet.As I suffer from gout they were very painful and I didn't get much sleep The bedroom was too cold for my liking. I tried to set the thermostat a bit higher.But it stopped at 23 centigrade. I know this should be enough but At my age things seem to change a bit. The shower was not movable making it difficult to reach all nooks and crannies. The bathroom & the breakfast service. The price!. Hard to find . Need a GPS that will accept post codes and not street names and numvers.
