The caretaker, Rachel, is very friendly and helpful. We really appreciated the fact that we could park the car safely on site - a rarity this close to the centre of Edinburgh. We booked a studio, but were actually upgraded to a 2-bed flat for the same cost, which was nice. This self-catering accommodation is a good, cost-effective way of visiting Edinburgh in Festival time - it cost about the same a decent B&B. It is very close to buses and taxis, or close enough to the centre to walk if y.
所有评语 » The studio was spacious, clean and bright. Rachel was absolutely lovely and helpful. The location was superb, with public transportation to go anywhere. I honestly couldn't say enough about how staying at such a lovely place added to our wonderful Scotland visit! My family plans to go back to Scotland and Palace Residential will be our first choice each time. This is an old character building. Our bedroom in the front of the building on the 2nd floor was very large & bright, the bed was comfortable. Good secure parking at the rear, suggest you reserve in advance. Owner pleasant & helpful. Perfect location. 15 mins walk to Princess Street. The place was clean and tidy and the staff were friendly and helpful. Found it really good having the self contained unit as we were able to make dinner ourselves. Rachel was very friendly and helpful. I was arriving around 11pm but that wasn't a problem. It's very central but there was no late night noise. Great shower pressure. The owner, Rachel, was lovely and the apartment had everything you could want, close to the city - and to have access to a washing machine and dryer was fantastic. The landlady was very nice, she lent me a baby cot, extra sheets, extra towels. The apartment was quite big, the bed was very comfy. It was nice in general. Loads of space for the money, excellent location near the airlink bus stop and Haymarket rail. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay there again. This is very nice place! I like the flat. Good location, was nice and spacious. clean, comfort, very nice~~. size of rooms. The kitchen initially looked well-equipped, but actually lacked much thought about what's really needed. The shower over the bath was unusable, and a curtain or blind in the bathroom would have been nice. It really wasn't a big deal. Sometimes you have to wait a few minutes for the water to heat up. It would not stop me from staying there over and over again though!. The plates were not very clean, mainly the problem from the last guest who did not wash them properly. Note that the apartment is a good 20 to 30 minute walk to the main town/shops etc. OK if you are a walker. But still the location is a good place to check out Edinburgh city. As they're building a tram line down the main street in Edinburgh at the moment, all traffic was diverted up the street of Palace Residential Lets. Not the fault of the property but it did wake us up early each day. nothing it was grand. Nothing. It was very difficult to have hot water (but this may be the problem of the house, or even city). It was a bit dirty in the bathroom. And the kitchen could be better equipped. No plug or washing up bowl in the kitchen, and no teacloths. I was devastated. Very minor observations: -Would prefer hand wash to soap -Old sandwich left in fridge on arrival -No mirrors near plug sockets. The window between the kitchen and the bathroom (toilet) was slightly odd!. bathroom. I booked through letsbookhotel.com under dog friendly apartments in Edinburgh.. However, about three weeks before our stay, I had an email to say Palace Residential no longer accept dogs at the Haymarket flat and instead gave us a studio flat in Leith which wasn't where we wanted to be. We would have appreciated earlier warning.
