The staff was extremely courteous and friendly. They were very responsive to our needs and much to our delight we were upgraded from the Guesthouse to the Hotel which had better facilities. Moreover, we were given the rooms much earlier than the check in time. It was very helpful as we had travelled overnight by train and needed to refresh ourselves before stepping out. The hotel is very conveniently located in Central Zurich surrounded by the old charm of the city. We wouldn't have asked .
所有评语 » - The location was fantastic - you can easily walk there from the main train station. Then the tourist sights are within walking distance also. - The room was an adequate size - there was enough room for luggage and to walk around. - The room was clean. - There was a lift so you didn't have to carry your luggage up stairs. - The staff were professional. Almost everything!! The location in my opinion was terrific, staff were extremely welcoming, the hotel was a little gem, the furnishing were very upmarket and trendy for a 3 star establishment, I got upgrade to include breakfast which was a very surprising gesture and the breakfasts were very good. The location is ALWAYS most important in my choice and it's perfect, especially at that price. Reception staff was friendly and informed me well with all I wanted & needed to know. The wi-fi signal was strong enough & very effective!. Within old town, close to train station, shopping district and restaurants. The hotel is very clean and it feels very comfortable. I was happy to be given the free upgrading of room. Overall, Alexander Hotel has exceeded my expectations. The staff was extremely accommodating to our special needs. An accident on the train left my wife in the hospital from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. The hotel graciously accommodated our necessary changes. Perfect location for me to recover from jet lag. Very quiet rooms, with dark curtains. Lots to see and do within walking distance. I particularly like the little Spanish tapas place a few doors away. The staff helped us to promote the room to Alexander Hotel without additional charge. She's so sweet!! The location is nice, very close to the Zurich Main Station. Wifi is good. Location was excellent...everything was within short walking distance. Nice to have a small elevator even though this is a guest house! Clean and comfortable. Super location!. Location. We were right in the center but our room was very quiet. We asked for a quiet room and got one the back of the hotel. Staff was friendly, free wifi and a simple but clean and comfortable room. Price was okay. - location, right in the center - 10 minutes away BY FOOT from main train station (Zurich HB) - the guy who showed me the way to my room was really nice - room are very very small but clean. For the price paid, is a pearl in Zurich!. - You had to pay on arrival (not on departure). - I thought accommodation in Switzerland was very expensive in general. So compared to the rest of Europe, this was expensive for what you got. However, compared to the rest of Switzerland, this was reasonable and was a great location, good size room and comfortable lodging overall. if there is one, and its a tiny niggle, the pillows were terrible !!. It was necessary to go a street over to the main hotel to check into the Guesthouse. A man seemed to be waiting for such customers. He seemed to be pushing his "assistance" far more than needed. It took a direct comment to let him know that while he was being "friendly," his assistance was not needed. Internet is, like in so many hotels, is a hassle to keep signing on. Nothing. The breakfast that we had was not very sumptuous, which needs improvement and not worth the money spent. One of the staff was very unhelpful when I needed an adapter for my iPad she argued with me that I didn't need one whereas I had explained that the connection was broken - she gave me one - snapping at me "well here you are" and banged it on the counter. the first given room was on the top floor and was a bit small coz the roof , but we change it :). zhan jie nv,which made me uncomfortable. Not in the location that woman should walk alone at night. The prostitutes hang around the entrance to the guesthouse each night, although they are not offensive there are plenty of them each night. Our room had an adjoining door and the neighbours were very noisy during the night. Directions to Guest House from the Hotel was a little confusing. A map at reception would have helped greatly. It's a little bit noisy from outside the window. But, it's no problem. Just the first day, there were someone, who argued outside. None. Bathroom too dark, needs more lights or clearer walls. At arrival they didn´t say that breakfast was not included. -the expense of visiting Switzerland. With this time's stay, the 3rd level wi-fi signal were very poor. Include perhaps coffee in room and a continental breakfast at extra cost. prostitutes outside our hotel. Certain staff at reception could be friendlier with a smile. Our room 641 should have been reasonably sound proof from street action. Window seemed to be incorrectly fitted so it wasn't sound proof. Lots of street noise ( street girls). No fire evacuation plan. No alternate means of egress. Too noicy from the city and outside the hotell. No Curtains. Wake up very early. Our room smelt of smoke when we arrived even though it was supposed to be a non smoking room. We had to leave window open when we went for a walk and it smelt better. Cost of eating out. See above. Other family members had a room at the street side and this was very noisy. The area is full of bars and noise goes on all night in the weekend. - lady at reception could smile (it does not hurt) - some noise late in the night (but it was still ok ! the windows are of good quality) but do not forget that you are in the heart of the city. The room is narrow I would expect breakfast with this price. Room size is too small Lift is just enough for 1 person and 1 bag/suitcase. Very bed smell when opening doors (all the guesthouse has windows opening over the kitchen of the restaurant downstairs).
