  The location was excellent, in the Zurich Old town, very close to shopping, and to Zurich hbf and Landesmuseum. Yet, for this location rather quiet. Friendly, helpful and professional staff. The room was tiny, yet it felt small and cozy rather than cramped, the'd made their best of the available space. Interesting old t - The hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming. The bed was extremely comfortable. The free wifi was a real bonus as was the complimentary tea and coffee in the reception area. The breakfast room was beautiful and the service very good. The location was fantastic and thankfully the hotel is on the quieter side of the old quarter which meant that one wasn't disturbed by people coming out of the bars and cafés late at night.

  We are a mature couple who stayed at the Hotel Hirschen for three nights in early October 2013. We took the train from Bern to Zurich. Zurich station, like Bern and Luzern, is quite nice with street level platforms (or escalators), a Tourist Information Office, and lots of underground shopping. We asked for a room off the square because Niederdorfstrasse can be noisy -- lots of res - The situation of the hotel, it was right in the old town and the variety of restaurants outstanding. Because it was in busy area due to shops and restaurants thought it was going to be noisy at night but that wasn't the case. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast choice very good. Easy walking distance to main station and the Zurich Lake. Ferries also very accessible. Very enjoyable stay.

  Everything was well organized at the hotel and the hotel staff were polite and extremely helpful.   The welcome was perfect, we arrived by car and parked as close to the hotel as possible - after checking in at reception I was escorted to the underground parking garage and took my car down in a lift to the secure parking area. We asked for extra pillows and got them immedia - The rooms in the Alexander had been done to a very good standard for a small hotel. The breakfast room was small but very clean, the food was lovely with lots of selection and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent for a the major sites of the city and was right in the heart of a lively area with numerous bars and restaurants to choose from. It was also only a ten minute walk from the station and transportation links. Overall i would definitely recommend this hote

  Very convenient to the Hauptbahnhof and a short walk to the Bahnhofstrasse. Also close to the Niederdorf without all of the noise. Our 4 nights there were great! - I liked my stay; good hotel, excellent location, clean room, very nice breakfast buffet.
