As suggested by its Basque name (which was translated to me by a local to mean "a beautiful place"), an absolutely beautiful location on top of a hill, with a view of a small bay and a beacon. We could hear the roar of the sea at night! The lady receptionist (unfortunately I didn't get her name) was really attentive, helpful and informative, and gave us a lot of tips on what to do in San Sebastian. The hotel is located at about 3-4 km from the city. It is possible to walk but on the way back t.
所有评语 » - excellent hotel if you travel by car, great location, silent in the evenings, excellent view on the sea, very friendly stuff, easy to reach to San Sebastian, good value for money. You can also travel to the mountain nearby (but somehow you need to pay 2 eur to get to the territory - private territory, we decided to refuse) Tea and coffee are available all the time. It is a family hotel and you can feel that. very cosy breakfast area and lounge. there are also walking paths around hotel with . Loved this Hotel we originally booked for 2 nights, stayed 4 and wished we had stayed longer. Friendly helpful staff added value to the stay. We had a 2nd story double room with a beautiful view of the ocean, lighthouse and finicular. Breakfast room was warm and inviting, and breakfast was a good European spread (ham, cheese, breads, fruit, tomatoes, etc. Recomondations for restaurants from staff were excellent. Once we parked our car at the Hotel we took the bus that stops in front of the H. Very nice and helpful hosts, giving a lot of good advice, beautiful view from the spacious terrace and the breakfast room, very clean and new, baby seat available in breakfast room, small lovely hotel. Well located if you want to not only visit the city, but also go to other places by car around S.Sebastián (inner country, coast). To go to the citiy, easiest is to take the bus (leaves every 30 mins, but stops at 22:30 or so). All in all, we found it absolutely great!. Bus at the door to go to the city centre. Stunning View from dining room and our room as well. The most caring, friendly, helpful and professional staff you can ever find! Lovely people. They lend use the kitchen to cook some stuff that we had in their fridge. You can help yourself for tea or coffee whenever you like and could go for a relaxing reading time in the lounge. Internet was very good and breakfast good value. Free parking.I definitely come back! Thanks!!. It was great to have the facility to make tea or coffee in the dining room whenever we wanted it. The staff were extremely helpful, especially when my wife was unwell one day during our stay.They were very good at giving information about the town and what was going on each day and where to find restaurants etc. The 5 euro breakfasts were tremendous value. There was also free wifi. We liked being out of the town,with views out over the sea. The staff at this hotel are the best we have come across ever. Friendly, helpful and made us feel relaxed and welcome. The views are amazing from our room and the breakfast room, lovely to have a balcony to sit out on and relax after a hard day eating!!! Overall the hotel was freshly decorated, spotless and had a really good feel to it. Free parking and bus stop right outside the door made out stay hassle-free. Everything about this hotel is perfect. It was exceptionally clean and really well decorated in local style. We had a room with a terrace overlooking mountains and sea. The bus stop down to the town is directly opposite the hotel and the cost extremely reasonable. For those travelling by car there is and adjacent car park ( said to be public but in reality half of it seems to be accepted as seving the hotel). A stylish family hotel , room with terrace overlooking the Atlantic , excellent location on Mount Igueldo , 400 meters from the funicular and amusement park , bus stop right in front of the historic hotel , internet, elevator .During the day , you can serve with coffee or tea provided free by the hosts , a wonderful salon .And especially great kindness and warmth with which we were received . The staff were all just so very friendly and helpful and kind - really top notch - they truly added to the enjoyment of our stay. The rooms were simple, but lovely and very, very clean - ours had a lovely balcony and view of the cliffs and ocean. Shower was great and beds were comfortable. Breakfast area had a lovely view of the ocean - a great way to start the day. Leku Eder translates as "beautiful place" which is an accurate description. Ask for a room with an ocean view. The hotel is a 20 minute bus ride from San Sebastian (or a 10 euro taxi fare). Given the cost and difficulty of parking in San Sebastian, this is not a bad arrangement. The breakfast is good (but no eggs). Tea is available at any time. Good location in elevated position about a mile outside San Sebastion. Superb views both of the city and the ocean (ask for a room with a sea view). Free car parking on site and half hourly bus service to take you in and out of San Sebastion. Manager very welcoming, helpful and fluent in several languages. This property is located up on a hill out of the busy town. Free parking was a nice feature, as parking in town could become expensive. If you didn't have a car, you would need to take a taxi or bus into town as there is not much located within walking distance. The view from our room was wonderful. The staff were so friendly and the room was great, our view was breathtaking. Breakfast was excellent value and the free tea all day is a great touch. Town & the beach is a pleasant walk down the hill and walking back up after a night on the vino and pintxos is a good way to work it off!. Fantastic location on the Atlantic coast cliffs. I spent calm nights reading in the lounge which is always almost empty and has many kinds of teas and coffees and corn flakes which I fell in love with in this family-run hotel. I missed having a bidet. Don't rely on your Satnav to get you there - we were directed up tiny unmade roads over a mountain ! Just follow the main street down to the beach and turn left following signs to Leku Eder. Everything was perfect for us. Some might find the location a problem - it is not exactly in the middle of all the action - however, it worked very well for us because we enjoyed the view, and used the bus and taxis to get down to the town - we also walked a few times, took about 30-40 minutes. Nothing particular about the hotel. Weather turned wet on the last day and the sea mist blanked out the views. If you are driving into the city area invest in a good up dateable Sat-Nav (or a Michelin city map). The road system is a nightmare of one way systems and very complicated junctions. In 17 years of travelling in France and Spain this was the first time we have got well and truly lost. Nothing !!!!. None. There was an music festival in a park close to the hotel and around 1 am when the festival ended the attendees to the event that walked by the hotel were very loud and it was difficult to sleep. However, the festival is a rare event and is not the norm for the hotel. Overall, at other times during our stay the hotel setting was quite peaceful. I would prefer duvet to blankets. Towels could have been more fleecy. Bed (for "bad sleepers"). But goods beds in hotels in very rarely to find;). On outskirts of town which means having to drive. No lounge so nowhere to relax so ok for a night or two. No Bar, there's not a lot around the hotel, so a bar would be nice to relax in after sight seeing in the day. The beds and pillows were not the most comfortable, but fine for a short stay. No coffee or tea in the room. Nothing to mention. It adds to the quirkiness of this fab place but be aware that it is right opposite a lighthouse ! Dont forget to close your window shutters. Location requires to use car or bus. Hotel is slightly outside SanSebastian and local bus service doesn't run late enough to use it to visit town in evening. The wifi didnt work for one day. Nice breakfast but lacking a bit more vegetables. Quite cold. If you dont have a car could be expensive return by taxi every night. A fan in the room and an extra pillow would have been great. Our room was a bit tired but had a west facing balcony with a great view. There is no bar or restaurant on the property but a continental breakfast buffet is available. Nothing.....everything was perfect. A bit dated. Small-ish room. I had thought it was closer to the beach. rainy wether ;-).
