  This is a beautiful and elegant hotel nestled in the old town and with the most spectacular location perched on the side of the gorge looking back onto the new town and with views of the magnificent Puente Nuevo. Our room looked out onto breathtaking views, and was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff were excellent - extremely helpful, friendl... 别人怎么说 » y and efficient - answering all our questions, making calls to check the Cuevas de las Pilatos were open and printing out maps for onward journey. Not - A perfect setting with a room overlooking the gorge. The staff were exceptional, the best I have met. We arrived by car on a narrow road outside the hotel and the receptionist jumped out, helped us unload and pointed to a spot where we could move the car out of the way. She parked it safely for us afterwards. The food was excellent on the enclosed terrace and the Maitre D moved a propane patio heater in behind my wife when she got cold.

  So lovely modern and exceptionally clean hotel. Good value with friendly staff. Three star so don't expect laundry pool towels and room service which we didn't. Our room had a terrace which we could use to access the pool, nice and relaxing (other than the birds who quickly learnt when we were having lunch and kept trying to steal the food!).   For a two-star apartment Doña Elvira was the best we can get. As you have to be aware of those two stars, there is nothing to be disappointed about. The location may not be right in the middle of Málaga´s center, but in a three minute walk you will be at the great shopping street. Some reviews say that the area is dangerous which I totally disagree with - some of the surrounding streets are a but shabby but Málaga is undergoing but we didn't mind. The staff were very friendly and were more than happy to answer our questions.

And my favorite is the nightly hippy-flea market just outside the hotel in the plaza. But the most amazing thing is with all the hust - Everything!! The location, the view, the comfort. Absolutely amazing!! We had a wonderful view from our balcony that showed us the beach, a nice square with fountain and the statue of the prince Abdul Rahman I, we could look at the markets on the square that open at night and listen to the sound of sea. We had a great relaxing time for our honeymoon. The beach and many restaurants are few steps away. I totally recommend it to Almunecar visitors.

Also, Gracia who is in charge of the apartment was very helpful and friendly with us. She also speaks good English which is a big plus in Seville (if you don't speak Spanish)! Highly recommended!
