  We had no problems parking-and ended up seeing the hotel as soon as we emerged from the garage-perfect! It's right next to the police station, so very quiet and safe (not that other parts of the city aren't). It was a very short walk to the cathedral and the city was fantastic to wander through.   The Hospederia was an old Hospital for Pilgrams and a monastery. It has been fixed up with rooms. The staff were helpful. The rooms clean as well as the bathhrooms. The breakfasts were routine buffet style and more than adequate. I had one meal ( lunch) in the dining room. They serve a Menu del Dia. It is close to the cathedral and having completed the Camino de Compestela it was a good place to unwind without ha - I liked everything! It's right beside the Cathedral. The building itself is beautiful, the rooms are basic but very clean. Breakfast was lovely, all staff were very helpful. The city is Santiago is beautiful, it's definitely a place I will go back to and would recommend it to everyone. There's such a good atmosphere there, everyone is relaxed and friendly.

  We stayed as a family of 4 at the Montes Pension Boutique as a city break to Santiago in July. The location is perfect, just around the corner from the cathedral and main square.   Location is very centralized, close to the Cathedral. It is minimalist and chic. But what is impressive is the super friendly staff. The evening staff at the reception, called Maria, is especially helpful, friendly and made us feel very welcome with all the tips re Santiago. Would stay here again next time.   What can I say !! This is a beautiful little apartment overlooking Inmaculada Square. One could also see the Cathedral. We arrived at Plaza Do Obradoiro where I parked and Lavinia went off to find Ines the owner of the apartment.Ten minutes later she arrived with Ines in Ines' car. The location is perfect, behind of La Catedral de Compostela (the main church) and right in the middle of the old city, full of restaurants, souvenirs stores and bars. The room is very comfortable, like a small apartment with new facilities and a very good view. Ines, the hostess, is best friend you could have in your stay. She will try her best to make you feel comfortable and tell you everything you must see/do, do not forget to have a nice talk
