  I am so glad to say that everything about this central accomodation is absolutely perfect! My girlfriend and I arrived on a Thursday evening by Metro, and after some time fumbling around in the Gran Via area we found this gate (number 50) right next to Geox shoe store. Was a very sweet surprise to find 2 towel swans waiting for us, accompanied by a small bottle of c - I liked everything about this hostel. It is on the 5th floor but don't worry because they do have an elevator. The place was recently renovated so everything is new, modern, and beautifully decorated w/TV and nice quiet a/C. Even though it is on a very busy main street, my room #12 was quiet because it faced into a courtyard. Wi-Fi was free and worked great. The location could not be better.   First of all, the location of the hostel is great, being located in the heart of Madrid, a few minutes away from Gran Via and all the cultural places. Also it is really easy to arrive from the airport. Next, the staff was young, professional, very friendly and with good communication skills (they spoke English - The location of Hostal Gala is excellent, a 5 minute walk from Gran Via and Puerto Del Sol. The staff are super welcoming and friendly, always ready to help and advise on where to go and what to do. The hostal is also kept very clean and the cleaning staff are very friendly and helpful as well. Although the rooms do not have safe deposit boxes, security and leaving passports/money behind was never a cause for concern. This is a place I would recommend and stay at again!
