  The best possible location at a great price. 2 short blocks away from Plaza del Sol square and metro station. The street is very busy day and night and, although the room had two double-glazed windows, some noise could still be heard. Very clean, small bathroom with sink, toilet and shower. Every so often a rumble from the subway can be heard, but... 别人怎么说 » once you know what it is you stop paying attention to it. Take some earplugs with you and forget about the noise. Excellent budget hostel. - Excellent location - just two steps from Arenal street and two minutes from Sol. Nevertheless very quiet. The room is small, but very clear. English-speaking and helpful staff. Great value for money, good choice for the city visit.

WiFi in room was very welcome and unexpected in a small pension like this one. The hosts, husband and wife, spoke only Spanish but were very friendly and helpful. The decor of this pension is a jump back in time by at least 50 years, if you like that sort of thing (which I did).

  Excellent location close to Atocha station, walking distance to the three big museums (and the city center, if you like a bit of a hike), supermarket at the corner. The hotel is on a quiet side street; there was absolutely no street noise.
