The hotel is very basic but excellent value for money and reception is staffed 24 hrs a day. The staff were great - friendly and helpful. The room was clean and everything worked well. There is a cafe next door and other across the road that do breakfasts, the metro is just a few metres away and it takes onbly 10 minutes to walk to the Rambla and Plaza Catalunya. Basic but brilliant value.

Opportunity to leave a luggage after check out and before check in. liked this place and after the place i had the night before, it was posh. Location short walk from the centre, reasonably clean and spacey room. Bathroom ok, not the cleanest I've seen but not too bad either, general Central-European standard. Friendly and hepful staff. Also close to the university district so ideal for students and visiting lecturers on a budget. There was both a minifridge and a kettle in the room. The bed was comfy. The room was very quiet. The location is great, with the metro just around the corner. There was an internet place just across the square and decent food in the cafe next door. I needed an accommodation near to plaza catalunya with free wifi and private bathroom. This was the cheapest one, so I booked it. Good location. Good price for room with WC/shower. near to the rambla... bus and metro nearby. central location. Location is great, 10 min walking from La Rambla and next to metro station. Reception is open 24h. There is a club nearby - we didn't hear it much as it was cool weather and so we had the windows closed. The view from the balcony is not very attractive but there was a balcony!! It was also hard to find....no sign except on the door bells. Woman at the reception do not speak english at all! Only a guy who was at the reception at nights. No kettle in the room, no cups. Clean, but quite old rooms. cold water, TV was broked, cold room. Room was a bit noisy and there was only one key for us which was a bit of a problem since I was staying with a friend and we would have liked to go our separate ways. The plumbing kept an extraordinarily odd and loud noise during the night which woke us up, but the house was old, so I guess you can call that exotic... The tv only had one channel and the bedside lamp didn't work. The room was incredibly hot, I had to sleep on the floor next to the balcony. No air conditioning, so avoid staying here in summer. we asked the front room but they gave us the room without any view our window opend to the window of another room. room wasn't like we expected, it wasn't like the foto's, very very smal and old. showers, general state of repair,noise at night in rooms overlooking road. No sign except on the door bells. Very hot room but has a fan. Not clean when arrived. The floor was really disgusting. Woman at the reception do not speak english. The kettle in the room was dirty. the ceiling has moisture. Generelly it was very dirty but if anyone search for a room just to sleep i recommend it because of its price. One floor above a nightclub with people talking singing outside and smoking till 6am. So only option is to close doors and the super Hot even with a fan. - No signs, no markings inside or outside of any building. - Woman at the reception desk did not speak in English - All the rooms were occupied. the room we had not been granted, despite reservations - To top it all off, we were offered (very heavy rain and we were soaked, including a child 3 years old) to go! (no hint of transfer / payment of taxi / other excuse) to Pension Picasso. ie these pensions the same owners, beware!. Awful facilities, not clean. Bedroom smelled awfully (because of the bathroom). There is no lift, so you have to go up the stairs with your luggage. Recepcionist told me a TV would be provided and it wasn't. Pictures of the bedrooms do not correspond to the truth.
