  We stayed in Cape Standard for 4 nights and had the perfect experience. David and his staff are amazing, very helpful and easy-going and made us feel very welcome. They assist you with everything and recommended really good places to eat where to locals go as well.   Everything about this guesthouse is wonderful. Joe and Marius, the owners, are incredibly accommodating. Joe sat down with me for 30 minutes on the first day and explained about the tours, local stores, safety and all other questions I had knowing that it was my first time in Cape Town. The hotel was kept clean at all times and I had no troubles by commuting to the hotel alone. I stayed here with my girlfriend, it was very comfortable, safe and value for money. It is indeed a home away from home. Nearby there is a local convinience store. You will need a car to get around usually 15min drive to waterfront, canal walk, cape town CBD, rhodhes memorial, etc Hashim will look after you, he is the manager.
