The location was amazing, only a minutes walk to everything. The staff are extremely helpful and there are really nice restaurants and bars nearby and it is very safe in that location. The best part is the location as you are beside waterfront, green point and camps bay which is the best place really to stay. Having your choice of experiencing each location on your doorstep. The staff are very helpful and gave us alot of information on all the best places to go "none tourist places" . The guest.
所有评语 » Absolutely everything. From the time we arrived, we were made to feel most welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff were fabulous, value for money, location excellent. we will most definitely be back again and again and refer everyone to Port View Guest House.10/10 Ingrid and Randall Davey- Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Lacation it very,very good.Of course it could be on the Waterfront but it wasn't our idea.So you need about 10 minutes walk and you are in the best place.Nothing more that we needed.Staff was very friendly and helpful.This is a very good 3* with a helpful desk and a good location.Thanks a lot for this stay!. Having travelled from London, Pretoria to CapeTown we were impressed with the friendly welcome. The location is really good - walking distance to the Waterfront and right next to the Greenpoint restuarant hub. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. Sorry,nothing:).If you want to spend few nights in CPT with some trips you've found a very good place. Nothing we greatly enjoyed out brief stay. just not so happy with the state .the pool. No hairdryer in suite. No tv remote in suite. Main light was not working. Not enough parking. My bath was not cleaned. Too much furniture in the room - it was always in the way. You had to unplug either tv or fridge to use the kettle. parking. Well, I was there early on during the day to view the place and there was no staff on duty except for the security man. However, he was competent,well trained and could deal with all my queries in the absence of the owner/ reception staff. When we arrived in the evening, there was no owner to welcome us. However, again the (new) night shift security man was erudite and excellent. Limited parking Airconditioning (mobile units) Duvets (prefer sheets & blankets). No aircon in room Bathroom overlooked the sea instead of the room. no internet whilst i was staying there. none. The facilities are way too old-fashioned, toilet without a door and ventilator, the wood floor shaking when walking on it. Not very clean either. There was dust on the desk when we checked in. I would not describe the room as a "luxury" room at all. Although the beds were nice, there was nothing to sit on in the room (no chair/couch etc) and only 1 hanger handing in the cupboard. No view, a bit dark and the bath was small Worse, there was a periodic horrible smell from the drains (which woke me up once!). The breakfast was ok, but not wonderful, and the breakfast room was far too small for all the guests. That I did not stay long enough to really get to know the place. no aircons. As this guest house has only 3 parking bays we had no choice but to park in the street, only to receive a R300 traffic fine! Surely if a guest is paying to stay over at your guesthouse you should be able to provide them with parking!!!. Despite em stating that office hours till 7, nobody around at 6h15 to discuss breakfast or no TV remote. Took 21/2 hours to get one and then TV did not work. Very disappointed in overall experience and will not stay there again. Open toilet in bedroom no door so no privacy.
