Good location to see the Northern Lights with a nice scenary of the coast. I can see the Northern Lights from the window of the room. The second floor at coast side is the better choice. However, walk to the coast is the best location. If you do not travel by Taxi or Car, there is Bus no. 34 at Sydspissen to Tromsø town. One way cost for Bus is 42 NOK, but you can buy 1 day ticket or 2 day ticket which cost only 70 or 120 NOK at Bus office near Tromsø tourist information. This ticket can be use.
所有评语 » 1. Very friendly and helpful staff - receptionist change the bulb for us asap when we told her the lamp didn't work, and answer all my questions , give us useful information, 2. Facility - Basic, 3. Cafeteria- Good! Free hot water, tea, cafe provided 24 hrs. Breakfast is also quite good. We can share useful information/ experiences of watching northern lights with other travelers. A wonderful hotel that's far enough from the city lights that you can see the Aurora from the beach right out back. You can't get these views from the hotels in the city centre. The bus to city centre came every 20 minutes and cost 40 kroner. Much better than $40 US for a cab one way. If I ever return to Tromso, I will be staying at the Sydspissen. Allowed limited amount of self catering which helps in a very expensive country, especially as a family with older children. Clean and well run. Very clean. Good price and breakfast spread considering Norway is really expensive. Hotel is at the beach, where we got to see the aurora borealis! Wifi was everywhere and room adequately heated for winter. Staff was friendly and spoke English, which was very convenient. The location is wonderful on the edge of the sound, the facilities are excellent, and the staff are extremely helpful. The free coffee and tea facilities (to midnight) and the spacious restaurant give a real feeling of relaxation and well being. Bus stop around the corner 5min walk from hotel. 20 minute walk to Town. Coffee and tea available throughout the day and night free. Loved the breakfast spread. Such amazing friendly helpful staff. The rooms are clean and very spacious. Quiet location, next to the shore. We saw the Beatiful Northern Lights through our window and from the backyard of the hotel. The 24hour coffee/tea service is a plus, breakfast was quite good, too. A great location with helpfull staff , rooms are clean and comfortable . You have free wifi and coffee 24/7 and with a bus stop outside you are only five minutes from centre of town . The location is Fabulous. One of the best place to watch northern light. And the girl at the reception is really sweet. Wish her the best. I'll come back again. If you dont have a motor than you'll need to rely on buses, your legs or tours. Lovely lake out the back too for views. 'Chilled' atmosphere. The location overlooking the beach is great for walks & northern light watching.Staff very helpful & friendly.Even the walk into town was OK although its a good 20 minutes. The hotel was on a bus route into the city which took only a few minutes. Alternatively it was around a 30 minute walk into the town centre. The hotel backed onto the beach and we were lucky to see the Northern Lights from the bedroom and the outside veranda. I liked the location as it was next to a fijord away from the city lights and the atmosphere was excellent. While standing at the bus stop to go to the town we saw the aurora boraleas!. Location - a little bit far away from the city center, but good for watching northern lights. Our room smelled like chlorine. I don't know why, but it wasn't terrible. All good!. Nothing I disliked. However the hotel is quite basic, more like a hostel, which was fine for our purposes but may not suit everyone. There was no hair dryer and only a soap dispenser in the room. Breakfast was from 7am-9.30am on weekdays, abit too early. The weather was very Tromso!. Not in city centre, small bed, too warm at times. Wifi service not always good, but not a big deal.. Kind of easy facility. It's a bit far, about a 35 minute walk to the center of the city. There's nothing about the hotel I didn't like. Room was slightly cold and the whole hotel had only one hairdrier for rent-out. But those are minor disadvantages and our stay was GREAT!. 25 mins to walk to city centre. Would be fine in the summer but a definite "no" in the icy winter!. The city was quite empty and everything seems to close at 18:00. Nothing as such. The bed is small. bed display feet to feet. but you can put it the way you like, no problem :). nothing. Everything is ok. A long (& cold) walk from downtown Tromso. Room service cleaning and fixing wasn't amazing good. Too expensive. everything was just fine. Tea and hot water only provide by 5pm. A little bit far from the downtown. 1990's TV set. a bit far but we had a car so not a problem for us. First night found some slightly dirty pillow cases. Front office sorted it out quickly though. Strange tapping noise from bathroom at night. Closed the door to be able to sleep. The hotel laid on lots of mini business conferences who's delegates sometimes packed out the communal areas. All very civilised though. Our bathroom wasn't great....I'm not sure if it was typical. We had a ground floor room overlooking the car park which was slightly disappointing since we had asked for one overlooking the beach, but I suppose someone has to draw the short straw :(. No direct bus from the airport, so we took a taxi. Not much choice at breakfast Decor very dated. Far from the city center and not easy to reach if do not have a car. We arrived around 22 and we were asked to pay immediately for the room; when we got into the room I realized there was no light in the restroom and the cover lamp was on the basin. I told the guy the about that and he said they knew about that but they didn't have any other room available and they could not do anything about it! Eventually we agreed on a discount for the inconvenience. shocking nights sleep group next door up all night we had to move rooms downstairs and carry bed to another room should have stayed 2 nights only stayed 1 night moved on next day.
