The location of the hotel is excellent for airport transfers and generalsight seeing. The hotel also has a very nice touch with the afternoonwaffles and coffee. An extremely pleasant weekend in a excellent city.
The heating was difficult to understand and we spent the first eveningin extremely high temperatures
I thought the rooms were excellent, very well designed, beautifully appointed.

Good Location, cleanliness of the hotel, half -board with still that price is very good specially if you compare the price with the hotel next door which is SAS scandic even they have a facility of a pool and sauna.

Hotel is nicely situated on the Bergen harbor. It is on the same side of the harbor several of the most popular museums, shops and restaurants. Hotel is beautifully decorated. We had 2 decently sized double rooms which were clean and quiet. Breakfast was ample, varied and served in a lovely breakfast room.
Elevator was malfunctioning during our stay (but did work, just slowly) but this is minor.
I enjoyed the breakfast, tea/coffee through the day and the light evening meal. The staff were excellent, always polite and curtious and always helpful.
I thought for the price that the hotel could have at least offered an assortment of tolietries in the bathroom.

Fascinating old building, beautifully converted with very modern fittings. Very central, right next to harbour and Bryggen.
Great location in the harbor, walking distance to everything of interest. The half-board (dinner) was a nice option and saved some money on going out to a full dinner. The hotel is very eye appealing and the rooms are comfortable.

No curtain or blind in the bathroom - only net and clear glass - other high rise buildings around and ships bridge was as high as our 4th floor window.Husband didn't care but I would have liked to cover window at night while showering.

Location. You can go to every interesting place on foot. Bus station to the airport is in front of the hotel.
At breakfast, the hotel needs more personnels. I had to wait for coffee, orange juice and dish to be prepared.

The breakfast is the same than the diner. Anything suit in the morning. If you need soap or shampoo, you have to pay (it is supposed to be a 4 star hotel!!!

Email (Yahoo and Google) did not work on hotel computers. Price but hotels and food was very very expensive in Norway. 4 times what we pay in USA.
