For a studio the apartment is huge with the added bonus of outside space. It's only a short walk to the hustle and bustle and around a 20 minute walk to the main centre.   The hotel is really wonderful! We stayed there with my friend for 4 nights at the end of May and were really suprised with everything. First, location. You're in the centre but away from the noisy crowd. Dam Square is within 15 min walk. The tram stop is just next to the hotel so it's really easy to get everywhere in Amsterdam. The rooms are well-equipped, though not large, but there is enough space and furniture for - The hotel is easily reachable by public transport. I spent two nights in the hotel and enjoyed comfortable and clean rooms, rich breakfasts and friendly staff who was always there ready to help. When I arrived to the hotel tired after a long travel the manager offered me complimentary tea/coffee and gave very useful tips about what to see and where to go. This is a small run operation but they were helpful and made us feel very welcome. Room is quite simple with a funny little shower off the kitchen (and the toilet behind that!) but it was clean, comfortable, quiet, and in a great location. Great for a couple looking for a quiet location to relax and be out of the hustle and bustle of downtown Amsterdam. This was a great area to stay to check out the trendy Jordaan, nine streets, and night club district.

Would most certainly stay at La Remis - La Remise is in a quiet street but close to all the activities. The well designed room/bathroom was 'roomy', warm and very comfortable and the served morning breakfast set us up for the day.Our charming host was very helpful: offering advice on places to visit or where to go to eat. I/we would recommend this place to couples. La Remise is quite special.

It is very close by a couple of supermarkets and a short walk to the tram stop, Vongelpark and museum area. The apartm - The owners were very helpful and kind, and carried our heavy suticases up the narrow stairs. The apartment was clean and very comfortable with a useful kitchen filled with appliances. There was a great view of the canal and it was very quiet. A few minutes walk to 2 different tram stations which made it easy to get into the city's central locations. I would recommend it to my friends.
