Good location, helpful front desk staff. The employees at the hotel were very helpful and nice.The position of hotel was excellent..easy reach of all the sights and city centre. The bed was one of the most comfortable! Overlooking a canal and in a good area. The staff were polite and friendly and there were no problems. I don't agree with tripadvisor but had to have a look anyway and this hotel got bad and unfair comments but I would happily recommend to any of my friends. Thanks.
所有评语 » It was very central to everything. the hotel is very quiet and the location is great!. Close to the center, 15 minutes walk. Close to where I worked 21 years ago. I like the fact they have now put wood across the threshold to the roomsas back in September 2008 we were not happy with mice in the room,although the rooms could do with a new carpet or at least cleaned with awater extraction vacuum to properly remove the remains all those mousedroppings!.Location. The satff were fairly friendly and the room was actually more spacious then I thought it was going to be. the best aspect of the hotel was it's location.The hotel is quite close to the tram stop. Location. Entertainment was provided for free by the lovely mice that infested my room. Location and staff. Very good location, nice canal view. Near a very dynamic area. The shower is not thermostatic so will without warning suddendly goto70 degreees c -scalding occurs at 66c. no fire escape plans in rooms.Staff walk in room without knocking (first they try their card thenoveride the lock with a key) and walk straight in without knocking thishappened twice!!. Hair dryer should be supplied. I stayed in a triple with my two friends and our room was cold the first two nights. We had to sleep in hoodies and sweatpants. Also the bathroom was interesting, having a shower next to the toilet, completely out in the open. hard to explain but if you stay there you'll understand.If we are to pay the room with credit card, they apply 5% surcharge. It was nice.I did not like mice crawling on my face while I slept. The receptionist asked for a payment immediately, before even showing aroom. They charge additional 5% when paying by card without any previousannouncement.Cleanliness of the room. After reading many reviews on the hotel, we were quite nervous about staying in the Quentin. After staying there we feel our fears were miss placed. Yes the rooms are basic, yes the rooms are rather small and the carpet looks like it could do with being replaced but as the saying goes "You get what you pay for". No horror stories for us as we got what we epected.Steep steps to reception. Not very friendly, off hand. My comment about recommending relates only to certain individuals. For some, especially younger people, this hotel would be fine and recommendable. Not recommended, generally, for the over 40s of whom I am one.if it wasn't for the mice we'd be having a different opinion but... The rooms were not cleaned well, there were stains on the wall and pillows. Wet/dirty towels were not removed from the room upon cleaning and there was no consistent cleaning time.The bathroom was really depressing and not very clean. It was kinda expensive for the room we got. romm not well cleaned,dirty towel. The room was very small with minimal facilities. The carpet was filthy, stained, damaged and disgusting. Very overpriced. The receptionist was rather rude and unaccommodating. The facilities. Very poor. Small rooms. During 6 days I had 3 coldshowers due to malfunction of their equipment.unacceptable space for a 1 bed room. Was a room 4m depth, 1 m width. It was expensive. My room was tiny. Wall paper missing off the walls. The toilet did not work in one of our rooms for the whole 4 days we were there even though we complained at least 4 times, the first complaint being 10 minutes after we arrived at the hotel.I saw rats in the room !!! Bad service. very little room. Old building, not clean at all. window can not be open. not recomended !!! run away !. Room was dirty and need to be mantained.Rude and unfair Staff . 5% fee for credit card payment. The room was very dirty, bed sheets as well, and I´'ve even had the mouse in the room. When I complained to the staff, they said that they and the hotel management were fully aware about the presence of the mices in the rooms but there was nothing that can be done. The hotel staff even refused to give me the "Book of complaints" to submitt an official complaint.mouse in room, three days without soup in the room (I twice daily inform about that receptionist), near by building ground. Staff unfriendly, room very small and badly furnished, carpets and walls dirty. Room is not very clean, not confortable regarding the price. Very small grubby room. I booked this hotel last September as a Christmas present for my husband. I had stayed there before in quite a nice twin room. Unfortunately the room offered this time was cold and cramped - rooms 104,204 (draughty window) and 304 are not suited as double rooms. We were then moved to a similar room on the top floor and there was no heating but they gave us a heater. Leidseplein great! - Quentin not recommended!.
