Espresso Hotel provides clean accommodation but don't expect any luxury. Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. One lift seems inadequate at times to cater for the need of the Guests and the Cleaning staff and the stairs will test your fitness if you get impatient waiting. The hotel is within ten minutes walk of the Leidesplein where cosmopolitan restaurants abound. Bus 197 from Schipol airport passes by the Hotel on Overtoom street just before it arrives in Leidesplein. Hoofstrad , off .
所有评语 » The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. Complimentary bottles of water in the room were much appreciated. Free tea and coffee anytime we liked in the downstairs area was a welcome surprise and made us feel very much at home. The lovely girl at reception even made our 12 year old a hot chocolate. No extra cost. We were able to bring pizzas in to the downstairs area at 10.30pm and it was all very relaxing. The whole atmosphere of this hotel is relaxing and informal, as well as being extr. Wonderful welcome on arrival from Veronica on reception,all staff friendly and helpful throughout stay. We got, as requested and very much appreciated, a quiet room at back of hotel on upper floor, spotlessly clean with comfy beds. Fantastic coffee machine plus a box with a wide variety of teas, available free of charge 24 hours a day, what a great idea and fab to have a cuppa whenever we popped back into hotel. Perfect location, 5 minutes walk from Leidesplein and Vondelpark and Museumplein wh. We liked everything about this hotel. It was modern and stylish and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and the shower was fantastic! It's in a perfect location - within walking distance of almost everything you'd want to do and see. It's also away from the busy parts of the city. The staff booked us into a fabulous restaurant one evening which we wouldn't have found on our own. Breakfast was really nice too. We would certainly recommend it to anyone and we wi. In a good location in a safe area but on a busy main road. Modern Hotel with a lovely atmosphere. Near the museum district, near canals & transport links to airport & city centre. Pick a room at the back of Hotel, makes a massive difference. Got the bus from the airport to within a 1/2 mile of Hotel. Plenty of restaurants near the Hotel for snacks & main meals. Had breakfast in the hotel on one occasion & was good value. Would use the Hotel again if the price was right. Small but clean and modern designed room, frıendly and gentle staff, excellent locatıon, good breakfast..What else a tourıst wants :)) Free coffee ın the loby was excellent.The hotel ıs ın a safe regıon of the cıty, not far from centre and museums and Dam square, you can go everywhere by walking.You can go from airport to the hotel by bus no 197 directly.I recommend Hotel Espresso everyone who will visit Amsterdam and wants to stay ın a safe hotel wıthout any problem. * Very central, close/within walking distance to all touristic spots. * Mainline tram stop within 20 metres from hotel. *All facilities clean, tidy and modern. * Hotel well run. * Staff EXCEPTIONALLY helpful, efficient and friendly. * More than adequate buffet breakfast available. * Rooms located on quiet side of hotel for tranquillity and with a good view. *Excellent daily room cleaning service. * 24 Hours a day free coffee/tea available on ground floor. The staff were excellent at this hotel. The breakfast was quite good too, including several options and some hot food. The coffee machine was also a welcome addition. Location is very convenient. It's just outside of the heavy touristy areas (5 min walk away), and is thus quiet. Grocery store and pharmacy near by. Tram 1 from central station is half a block away from the hotel. Trams to the museum district are also half a block away. The LOCATION was great, in Overtoom, on of the main access arteries of Amsterdam, 3mins walk from Leidseplein; Coffee and Tea for free in Hotel beatiful lounge, kettle for tea in hotel bedroom, nice and CLEAN; The STAFF was great, lots of them, all spoke fluent english and they were really very nice in a non-forced way; This Hotel improved our Amsterdam experience, we stayed for 4 days and in the end it felt like home. Thank you. Location was great. Not right central so no noise problems but close enough to walk to rijks and many other city sights. It was 8 min walk to dam square. The rooms were spotless and bed very comfortable. English tv stations. Staff excellent, so friendly and helpfull, we had a wheelchair with us and had no problems. Breakfast was great. Well worth the money we felt. There is a kettle in your room and hairdryer. Nice and quiet. Everything. The hotel facilities are amazing, It's brand new and furniture and rooms are shining new. I loved every single thing of it. Fantastic value for money as well and location is just perfect, within walking distance to everything and 3 mins walking from the clubs, bars areas (but still, located in a quiet street). Staff were amazingly friendly too. I would definitely go back to Espresso and recommend it!. The hotel is perfect if you wish to be close to the center but away from the chaos. It is a few minutes away from the Rijks Museum, Leidesplein, Vondelpark and the bus stop for Bus 197 (that heads to the airport). There is a supermarket nearby (*Markt) and a couple of restaurants as well. The facilities are modern and there is WiFi everywhere, even in the rooms. Oh, and the staff were VERY nice. Good location just outside, but easy to get to the busy inner city centre. Very close to a tram station which makes it easy to get to and from the airport and almost next door to a bike rental shop - essential for exploring and getting around the city. Nice comfortable stylish rooms with decent free WiFi and very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others. We really enjoyed the hotel which is very near to popular area, no need to take a tram. Hotel staff was very nice, kind and hospitalier especilally Viktoria at reception. Hotel is well decorated and new, most important very clean. Breakfast was very statisfaying, no need to go out. There are some markets quite cheap to buy cheese. We strongly recommend this hotel. The location at Espresso was perfect. Only a 10 minute walk to the city and with a bike hire store 2 doors away it was a very handy way to see Amsterdam. Loved it. This is an excellent location near the park and major museums. A good value also. One young lady at the desk was very pleasant but others were less responsive. Amsterdam is, of course, a wonderful place to visit and the renovated Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum are even better than ever. Just watch out for bicycles!. Everything. Our shower door was fixed within a few hours of reporting it. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel is conveniently placed close to the Leidseplein shopping area and many cultural activities. My stay was way too short for all the things I would've have liked to have done! I had a great visit to a beautiful city. The location was excellent. We appreciated having coffee/tea available 24 hours a day. The staff was so helpful and accommodating. They stored our bags on the day we checked out so we could do a bit more sightseeing. It was my second stay this year and that speaks for itself. Rooms & facilities are quite good but the best part is the extremely friendly front desk staff who help us a lot to arrange the shipment of our luggage which we forgot in the hotel. I have stayed just one night.The location is good. Heineken factory, many museums, Iamsterdam sign and a park 7 min away walking. 25 min walking to the center, 30-to Dam square. The hotel is centrally located and is surrounded by good places to eat. Tourist attractions are at walking distance and tram stop is also a few meters away. Hotel is clean, staff is friendly, wifi is free and the speed is also good. Location is good, close to shopping n museums. Safe environment. It doesnt feel like a 3 star given the relatively new look and also a nice cafe with complimentary coffee and tea which i really like. The staff are helpful esp Ajoop. This Hotel is very new and very clean. The staff always helped us. While it is not in the Central city near the train station, you can walk or take a tram or even a taxi for little money. Fantastic Location, the room was great , no mean accomplishment when considering that this is Amsterdam. The staff were very friendly and willing to help. The wifi was FREE and very FAST. The room was fairly spacious. Clean and modern. The location is very near to AH and restaurants, and also to the tram stop that connects to damrak/central in less than 10min with tram#1. The location of the hotel is also good as one is very quickly in city's center by foot or with the tram. Our standard twin room was extremely small, only room for one chair!. Nothing! It was all excellent. The noise in the first headroom we were allocated meant we didn't sleep the first night but luckily a triple was available for subsequent nights. Apart from that we had no complaints. NOTHING :D. * No (separate) area provided for smokers. * Access to computer non-existant. * No telephone calls can be made from rooms. I stayed in the smallest possible room in the hotel, and I did feel quite cramped. Room is meant for a total of 2 people, but it's more suited to a solo traveler. That being said, it was comfortable and fairly functional. I really disliked the location of the room safe. It is located on the very bottom of a set of shelves/floor level. Additionally, the lighting of the safe is not the best. Getting things in and out of it was quite annoying. Again, that said, the safe is laptop sized. Soft beds;. If your a drinker, there is no bar. There is a vending machine for water and snacks. Nothing, perhaps is I really have to comment on something is that temperature in the room was a bit too hot, but apart from that...Fab!. The rooms are basic and comfortable albeit small but it's not like you're going to be staying in your room anyway. Mattresses were a little too soft for my liking. The rooms were small but we weren't in them all that long so it wasn't a problem. The rooms are fine but compact - my double was perfect for a solo traveler !. Smaller rooms but not a problem. Everything else makes up for it. Website said no reservation needed for parking but when we arrived we were told parking was all booked. Street parking was 4 Euro per hour from 9 am to 9 pm. The person at the desk was not at all helpful with locating a car park or otherwise helping us arrange parking until we made a fuss, which was unpleasant for all of us. Nothing - it was all I could have asked for. Breakfast not the best I have had. The room was a little small but it was nevertheless value for money. The breakfast was expensive so we did not purchase it. Breakfast i was poor. The trams are a little noisy, but it wouldn't stop me staying there again. another mirror above the desk/table would have been nice plus electrical sockets near to mirrors (to plug in hair straighteners etc). Room has no minibar and hotel also doesnt have a full room service, I needed ice bucket and usually the hotel didnt have ice. Not much toiletrees provided like body lotion toothbrush etc. Nothing. One of the nicest surprises we got in Amsterdam. I read some complaints about the soft matrasses. Mine was soft indeed, but I had a very good sleep. The nightlife directly around the hotel is extremely limited; about a 7 minute walk to square. Small but adequate. Beds were very soft and a bit of a roll. I can't comment as everything was fine. Rooms were a little tight. Shower head holder was broke, net curtain was a little tatty. The bathroom was a bit cold. one of the two shower doors was missing!!! we reported to the reception staff the next morning and the response was: "Yes, we know it, in some rooms the doors fell off the shower and we are going to fix it"!!! Although they knew there was a problem, they did not mention it during check in!. i just hope they have fridge inside the room for our drinks and ice.. The breakfast should have more options of meal. The breakfast was quite poor. The parking is very expensive. I had to pay 36 EUR per day for parking on the street. The room may have been a little small for two persons.
