Try to get room number 1, (smoking allowed & your own shower/toilet)... the view from the window is something else! There's no food provided but hotel Alfa is beside a decent café. It's also only 2 minutes away from the train station & you only have to walk around the corner for your nearest smoke. The man running the place was very pleasant & although there was no tv, the wifi in our room was strong enough. 所有 评语 »
Our room was really clean, nice size, the staff where lovely and location was AMAZING! We stayed in the twin room and is exactly as the picture shows! Ignore the comment about about the building being old and decaying. It is old like many houses in the dam but not decaying!.
Location!! only a short distance from the central rail station and other lines of transportation. Several close by restaurants for your breakfast.
A very nice hotel with nice clean room, with the perfect location and the perfect friendly staff!.
Really friendly and pleasant staff, going out of their way to help out.
Location, Location Location :-).
great location and good price.
The owner was very friendly.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was as described, no
frills but for the price it was a good deal and compareable to other
hotels on the same budget.
Great location
Good staff.
Very helpfull.
I liked that after an hour of begging the staff they finally let us stay there! As we paid in full before going to amsterdam, we did not take our credit card as we did not want to use it over there. But the staff insisted we could not stay there without showing this card! And would not refund the money... So me and My partner would be out in the street! The manageress finally waved this ridicules request as we had our pass ports to prove who we were!.
Staff very friendly and helpful, very good location close to main train station, easy to find.
The owners were charming and the two young men who worked there were very helpful.
As good as any 100€/night piece of junk hotel in a great location.
Staff friendly. Location close to station.
closer to central station.
Location.
Location.
Nothing.
Not sure "like" describes it, but the Hotel Alpha is now in
3rd position as the saddest, most pathetic hotel I've experienced.
Behind the place in Flores, Guatemala that seemed less comfortable than
the local prison down the street and the alleged gite d'etape in
rural France that was really just a converted cow barn.
Close to town center.
Not a thing!.
Steep narrow stairs but Amsterdam is full of them.
Erm........ The loo not being in the room, but that really didn't bother is that much.
The wireless didn't work very well in the room I stayed in - so I sat in the reception area to catch up on emails..(a minor inconvenience) This problem could be resolved with a second router installed in the building. The steps are very steep - but that is typical for Amsterdam buildings of a particular age. My room did not have a TV.
Price associated with the room commodities was too expensive.
Very steep staircases, however thats how older Amsterdam buildings are.
Basically a room in a flat.
Dirtywalls
No TV.
letsbookhotel.com should state on there site that guests/customers must take the card they book the hotel with along with them before travelling hours to be told they can't stay there and have to beg for there room!!!!.
Cracked toilet base, no shower curtain, general cleanliness questionable.
The room we stayed in was horrible! The bathroom was another story, i.e.: tub / shower, tiles, ceiling, shower head were all moldy. The hair-dryer was rusty; the toilet seat was just on the toilet - not secured AND, room was never cleaned each day while staying there!
Would not recommend this place to ANYONE!.
We were offered to leave our luggage on the day of our return flight in the hotel.
We arrived 15 min late, the reception was closed and nobody answered to the "emergency phone number" that was displayed. We continued trying for 1 hour and 45 minutes when the couldn't care less owner picked up. We just managed to catch our flight!
Absolutely unnecessary panique during the last hours! Never ever leave your luggage at this hotel! They really don't care about you!.
No toliet roll holder, toilet rolls covered in black dust, no towel rails/robe hooks, no tv, no fridge or minibar.
Facilities very basic and spartan. Walls in bedroom covered in dirty marks and stains. Would expect much better for cost and decided not to stay the night once alternative found; but no refund offered.
Hotel is in very bad condition and not maintained properly. Bathroom is worst, Will not recommend to stay in this hotel.
Dirty
Expensive
Poor facilities.
Everything, the place was unbelievable, absolutely filthy, we couldnt believe our eyes, inhabitable.
This is a Doss House and cannot be described as a hotel.
Do not stay here. I also thought, "it's only one night and the
price seems cheap and it's centrally located ..." It was only
one night, the price was €110 and it is centrally located. And it was
awful. The room: barely big enough for the bed. The bathroom: even
smaller. The amenities: none.
Terrible Hygiene
Quite expensive
Decaying building
Bad Comfort.
This place is the worst I have ever seen! Filthy! The bed was so old my boyfriend had to sleep the opposite way , otherwise he would fall off the bed! Sleeping in the street would be more comfortable & cleaner. The front desk people could careless & as for free coffee , anytime I went to have some it was old. I would describe these people as slum lords!.
No T/Coffee facilities in room, cracked tiles/toilet, no plug in sink, poor decoration.
Everything, the hotel was disgusting.
