We stayed for only one night but found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, of a decent size, and had modern but basic facilities; about what you would expect at a three-star hotel. There were tea/coffee making facilities and a hairdryer in the room also. The breakfast offered a good choice and it all seemed fresh enough, though I would have liked to have seen more fresh fruit available. This hotel is located away from the city centre in a business and residential neig.

The hotel was very close to the transit line and you could be in the city very quickly, as well you could just as easily make a day trip to places such as Rotterdam or Haarlem. The restaurant served first class food and drinks. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable and were more than happy to help with anything. They had good quality bikes you could rent for 24 hours if you were so inclined. There was a very diverse clientele while we were there, from soccer teams, newly weds, business people, s.
Decent hotel, clean and big room, nice staff, wifi throughout the hotel with fair signal strength. what impress me most is the ice making machine at the corridor, which i havent ever seen in other hotels. bicycles are available for rent, which cost EUR13 per day. Given the perfect facities in Amsterdam, I believe it is worth take a ride around the city and return your bike at the door of your hotel, instead of renting outside and cost you additional money and time to head back to hotel afterwar.
It had everything and you only had to ask the staff and they knew the answers. Itoisn't too far from the centre and the very fast and very frequent bus 59 takes you from Central Station to Amstel then it's a short walk. Don't be put off - there are lots of benefits by being out of the centre. The 12 tram takes you righ to the Rijks museum. There are plenty of local restaurants - just buy a small guide and find them in a walking distance without the hurly burly of the city..
The hotel looks brand new and is located in a quiet area. Our room is huge and is always kept clean. The staff are very friendly and guided us how to get to the city center by taking the tram and the train. They even arranged for our shuttle pick up on our way to the airport. We stayed in Amsterdam for 5N/6D with most of our day spent on tours. After a long tiring day, we always look forward to relaxing and good night rest in the comfort of our quiet and clean and tidy room.
The hotel is new and modern. Friendly and helpful staff. Decent breakfast. The location: 5 min walk to Amstel station where you can get to Central station (7 min) or Amsterdam rai or Zuid (5 min). From rai or zuid easy access to the airport. Walking is literally about 45-50 min to the Central station, not less. Tram 12 starts the route at Amstel as well and will get you close to Vondelpark and Western part of the city. Bike rental available in the hotel.
The Hotel Casa 400 was very good, everything was new and very clean, comfortable too. The staff were very friendly and also speak spanish that could be useful for people from Latinamerica or Spain. It was not in the downtown, but it was very easy to get to everywhere in Amsterdam because the Amstel Station was 5 minutes walking from the hotel. The price was very good, you pay like you were in a hostel but you get the service of a very good hotel.
I stayed in this hotel for the 2nd time and again was sure about the right choice. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean and modern rooms, good sound isolation. In standard room we had and fridge and even kettle with tea, sugar and coffee. We rented a bike there and in 5-7 min you are in the center. Walking by foot is ~30 min. Near in 5 minutes walking is railway and bus station, what is really handy.
From the moment we came in everything was perfect. The colors, the spacious lobby area, the very "gadget" friendly ambient. The rooms were VERY spacious plus the welcome greeting was super lovely and the prices were quite good. The location was very good, easy to find and even easier due to the directions they offer while walking to the hotel, the station has their map and everything if you ask them!.
I stayed at Hotel Casa 400 with my wife for 2 days and it was a very pleasant stay. The hotel had very good staff who were polite and very helpful. Rooms were neat and clean. Easy access from metro station. Five mins travel from main station. It is worth the money you spend. You get free city maps and info brochures regarding various tours is available at the Hotel.
The hotel is brand new and the style is modern. There is a safe case in the wardrobe, so it is quite good for toursits to leave the passport in it. The location is near the train/metro/bus station Amstel, so it is convenient to travel between the downtown and the hotel. In the evening, there is a night bus 59# if there is the construction work for metro lines.
Generally speaking, we are pleased with this hotel. More specifically, its facilities are complete and in good condition. Furthermore, the traffic condition is convenient and you can either choose rent bike from the hotel or go to nearby subway station. Finally, the waiters are very nice. In one word, I recommend this hotel to you.
The entire design of the property is amazing, I particularly like the huge lobby. The bathroom was super clean, looked like nobody used it before me! The staff was very helpful and kind. We used the luggage storage on the last day and I have to say that it was the most secured and organized I have ever seen in hotels before.
This was our second stay and we were pleased again. The rooms are way wider than expected from a european hotel and the bed was so comfortable and big. Stuff was excellent and helpfull. From amstel station it takes only 5 min. To the center there's no need to pay much for the hotels in center trust me.
Very modern hotel, spacious room with a big closet, safety-box, mini bar, and a spacious bathroom. Very clean. Located in a quiet neighborhood. The hotel offers free WiFi and free ipads to use in the lobby plus they helped up book a shuttle to the airport and they offer a wide range of tours.
the hotel is very nice clean, nice staff, eco friendly, 3mins walking to AMSTEL station, a restaurant and a cosy bar, quiet neighborhood, ... Don (i guess his name is from the staff at the reception) was nice, genuine and very helpful. quite the perfect receptionist you see in the movies.
A perfect hotel to enjoy Amsterdam. We liked the spatious room and the big hall. Staff was professional and helpful. The hotel is near to Amstel train station and easy to reach just at a walking distance. If you have a bike, you can leave it in the garage for free with a 24 hours access.
The location is excellent. 15 min by bus from the city center. It is very quiet. The staff is superb - friendly and helpful. The room is spacious with comfortable beds and warm blankets. There is a fridge in the room, shampoo and soup in the bathroom.
The hotel is very nice. Located 5 min walking from the Amstel station. Very easy to get to the city center by metro or by tram #12. The stuff was polite and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable. I would stay here my next time in Amsterdam.
Room was big, extremely clean and with a big bathroom with shower. It's also close to Amstel Metro Station, so you can reach the city center in about 10 minutes by public transport (or taxi also is not that expensive.. 10 eur +-). Recommended.
We couldn't have asked for a better service. The staff were polite and helpful. The barstaff were welcoming and engaging. The hotel atmosphere was the best we have experienced. The underground secure parking was a blessing for peace of mind.
all was clean and a very nice hotel and had underground parking . what we wanted/needed for 2 motorbikes. a pleasent stay here...it was a bit of a trek to walk into the city from here and buiding works will be finished soon outside...
Modern well equipped rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Underground car park, at extra cost. Close to metro station for easy access the Central Amsterdam. TV with wide selection of channels in many languages. Ice machine on each floor.
Very comfortable hotel with very attentive and helpful staff particularly in The Circle. Food of good quality, ample portions and reasonably priced. Tea/coffee in rooms.Well positioned for the city, best to buy a 24/48 hour ticket.
The staff were very friendly and helpful in explaining what to do and how to get there. Good tram and metro connections into the centre and is worth thinking about a multi-day pass. Good size rooms and clean - very good breakfast.
The team is so helpful & friendly. Location in quite area & near by m station to go anywhere. I had some food to carry in my next trip to Germany, the team solved my problem & used the big kitchen Fridge, thx for them.
Feels new, clean, free bicycle storage, quite, close enough to Amstel train station, value for money. We spent 4 days in Amsterdam, rented bicycles for the whole period. The hotel is not central but with bicycles it was excelent.
I like this hotel very much. Everything are clean and the staffs are friendly and helpful. We have arrived a bit earlier before the check-in time and were sitting in the lobby, the staff came and let us check in earlier.
it's an amazing hotel! location is not bad, few minutes away from metro station. the security is pretty awesome, free ice machine just near our room. i wont say that its not expensive, but everything's just great.
Really liked Junior, the barman, on the evening of Saturday 19 October. He made us feel really welcome and we had a great night in the hotel with him - would definitely recommend going to the bar when he's serving.
Very comfortable hotel, easy to get around town. The staff was very willing to answer our questions and explain different types of transportation. It was fun to walk along the canal, and good bird watching.
Great location very close and walkable to the Amstel station and from there all connections. Modern large rooms, lift, great beds, quiet location, attentive staff, would definitely recommend it for others.
Great and new hotel with a really big room and perfect beds. The size of the bed, the cleanness, the great bathroom makes you feel really confortable. The hardest part is leaving out. Enjoy your staying!.
The hotel is clean, rooms are big and quiet with good beds. You can rent bikes and easily get into middle of the city. Would be a long walk otherwise. But it is also an easy walk to the metro station.
The atmosphere of the hotel was young and hip very slick and modern. The breakfast buffet was great and I loved the on site parking garage. The onsite restaurant had a solid and well balanced menu.
The peace of staying outside the city, the interesting tram journey in or the speedy metro into the centre. Coming back to a clean, comfortable and spacious room with cheerful and helpful staff.
Modern design hotel, as you would expect PLUS lots of comforts. The long desk at the window and a table/portable fan are welcoming facility. It is most value for money accomodation Amsterdam.
Hotel Casa 400 is across the street from the Amstel Station which takes you to Amsterdam Central in minutes. Refrigerator in the room. Large shower. Clean. Restaurant and bar on premises.
Hotel was in a good location. 7 minutes with the train or metro to the central station. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely walk along the canal to some very good restaurants.
It was so new and clean, the rooms where just what you needed. The breakfast buffet was excellent! So many choices. It's very easy to reach by car, and they have a big parking cellar.
the staff was very helpful...all were friendly and available anytime. I stayed there 4 nights and enjoyed every bit of it. Most important for me was the Wifi which worked very well.
If your going to Amsterdam for the weekend I recommend this hotel 100%. Its clean with large spacious rooms and the price is good too. I would recommed this hotel without hesitation!.
Nice hotel environment ... Everything is so nice ... Can use wifi everywhere...!! The environment make us very relax...!!! A little bit expensive...but still worth to stay here !!.
We enjoyed our stay. It was our third stay in one month. The staff were very helpful, the rooms very comfortable, we loved the large table area. The restaurant was also very good.
Super clean, quiet, elegant and simple design, lots of light, helpful and friendly staff, ice-cube machine on every floor, walking distance from city center, bikes for hire.
Clean, modern hotel, friendly personnel. Excellent buffet breakfast with everything and fresh. The room rate is low, considering this is Amsterdam and it is a good hotel.
The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. There was a good choice at breakfast. We would recommend this hotel and will definately stay here again.
Hotel is big and modern, great 1st impression. Room and the bathroom was big and cristal clean. Everything is new and in perfect condition. I'd recomend it to everyone!.
Simply , my favorite hotel in Amsterdam. nice and cooperative staff and easy to reach location ( very close to Amstel railway station ) . reasonable value for the money.
Facilities to browse the web and print - very useful. Proximity to public transport (Amstel station). Very handy parking and not too expensive by Amsterdam standards.
I didn't like the fact that there was no coffee machine in the room. You could go downstairs and get a minute European coffee for 3 euro but it is always nice to make coffee in the room even if it is instant. The only other negative I would have is no facecloths. I don't think that is something they use a lot in Europe. Luckily I had my own.
A bit far away from the city central, except that you can take metro from the central station. Itˊs a challenge to carry luaggage to the hotel from the station nearby, especially there are some stairs you have to take. Buffet breakfast is not bad, but do not worth EUR 16 pp.
We stayed in February/ March, the room (especially the floor) was pretty cold even though the a/c was working ok. February/ March 2013: construction outside the hotel was taking place, was quite noisy in the mornings (hotel management knows about it and left a notice suggesting to grab earplugs at the reception). Check with hotel if the construction is over.
Housekeeping was not doing anything. They will arrange the beds but that's about it. When we wanted to change the towels, seems like they don't know we are 2 people in the room, they will change it but for one person. We just had one cup for us 2 and again it was just almost non-existent housekeeping. Other than that everything was pretty good.
Nothing to say, actually. Breakfast was not included with our bill. So we had it out. Hence no idea about food there. You have to check it yourself!!!!.
No kettle in the room.
No coffee making facilities (I hate that). This is by no means a centrally located hotel so you'll need to take the bus to get to the city center. Amstel station is a 7 minutes walk from the hotel then the bus takes you to the city center in about 12 to 15 minutes, don't let that discourage you from staying here though. It's really an excellent hotel and the price is great.
well the hotel is really really nice , if i have to think about something negative to say it would be that some of the staff are smiling and being polite just because they r trained to, and u can feel theres something fake. while some others are genuinely very nice and helpful. but im just being too picky and just finding the only negative thing to say.
I would only suggest to write on the site, on "location", the name of the nearest train station, Amstel. I think it's not clear enough. Poor choice of sweets for breakfast at the bar in the hall, and the doughnuts weren't fresh.
Breakfast cost 16.50 euros and it wasn't something extraordinary. So quite expensive for typical things to eat. Towels were changed every day on request but the room wasn't vacuum-cleaned for 4 days we spent there.
Very good hotel.
I didn't book breakfast for the price. Eur 14 (16 at the Hotel) is quite expensive and actually you can have a cheaper breakfast nearby.
no tea / coffee making facilities as they sell coffee in reception.
Car park should be included in the price if the room. We booked two.
Car parking costly.
The location was a little far from the very centre of things.
We did not have breakfast becuase we preferred a less expensive one than the hotel offered. The view from the room is not typical Amsterdam- just regular office buildings, no canals, no old buildings etc but, anyway we left in the mornings and came back when is was night so it was not critical.
The pillows were too soft.
maybe the price. it's still expensive for students like us.
Bit far from the city centre.
Nothing at all.
A little bit out of city center but just one train stop from Central Station and even if you are not afraid of walking it takes around 40 minutes to Dam square.
No coffee or tea set up in the room but that is the only negative I can think of.
Everything was fine for us.
Somewhat distant away from the Amstelstation, worse for traveller with heavy luggages.
No microwave or coffee maker in the room. Although I could get a cup of hot water for tea from the restaurant. You have to walk down stairs from the street to access the hotel. Not good if you have a disability.
There were some building work going on next door, but nothing much to worry about.
No dislikes - I was really impressed.
Small point but worth a mention, its not right in the city centre although its a short Metro ride away which will cost next to nothing (2.80euros) for a 1hour ticket.
Staff need hv more slime ... Some of them keep long face Location is relatively far away from city... However... Transportation facility at Amsterdam is very well developed... So... Is it not a big problem... Can arrive city area in a very short period !!.
bikes were a bit expensive.
The bed nearly fills the room. Breakfast is expensive, but eating out is always expensive in NL. The subway connection to downtown is good, but understanding the ticketing system is difficult for a visitor.
Breakfast is 16.50e per person, which is definitelly to much, we didn't take it. Cleaning lady knocked on our door at 10am so it's better to leave the "do not disturb" note on the knob (available in room). She then started cleaning the room next to us and apparently walls are thin and we could hear everything and forget about sleeping. Apart from that everything was great.
Nothing to mention.
The breakfast was a bit expensive for what it was. Nothing much happening in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, especially at night.
