Absolutely massive rooms in a stunning complex built right on the dune line, with bucket loads of character and filled with Moroccan handicrafts. The hotel is a very short drive off the main road and very easily reached in a small sedan. From the hotel, it's literally a 5 minute walk to the start of the dunes and 20 minutes until you're deep in the desert. We visited during a relatively quiet time and frequently felt the solitude of the desert that we were hoping for. Breakfasts were amongst th.

We really enjoyed the fantastic view and the delicious breakfast on the terrace. the rooms were clean, cozy and very stylish equipped. The service was absolutely perfect. The owners of Kasbah Azalay, Hamid, Mohamed (best moroccan driver!!!) and his brothers are doing an awesome job. Always in a good mood. We had a great camel trip and a 4x4 tour around the area. Amazing staff and Place, it was a perfect decision to spend Parts of our Roadtrip through morocco in azalay. 4hours 4x4 Trip around the Dune of Merzouga with One of the 6 Brothers who own the place, then spend the 2nd Night in a Berber tent in the desert. Everything was 100% well organized, Good Family Business Spirit, a Lot of interesting Information about nature, Berber History and Culture. All that is Served with a subtile Sense of Humour that is Highly enjoyable. We had an Amazing Time. 10. Staying in an authentic Berber Kasbah on the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes was fabulous. Wonderful welcome and kindness throughout by Yusef (not sure of spelling) and his brother. Lovely meal on terrace and fabulous finish to evening lying peacefully on the rooftop on a Berber rug and cushion watching the stars! Camel ride at 4.30 in the morning, complete with Berber outfit with Mohammed, to watch the sunrise over the dunes was perfect. Fabulous new swimming pool. Great hospitality. Would have l. The staff here was amazing! They made our stay exceptional from start to finish. We arrived late and were greeted with smiling faces, mint tea, and great conversation. The new pool was gorgeous! I wish I was up for a swim during my stay here. We stayed one night and then spent the second night in the desert. The staff gave us a day room to relax in before our camel trek after we had checked out of the room we paid for. It was quite generous and hospitable of them to do so!. Really very warm welcome and excellent care, beautiful accommodation, good food. Nice pool with crystal clear water. And the desert, you have to see! We had a perfect round trip with lots of interesting information about the area and visited places and a camel track to the sand dunes. Very much thanks to owner and all people for the services. The place is stunning and very well designed. The rooms are large and wonderfully decorated as is everywhere else. The Berber hospitality is showcased here, with extremely friendly, helpful staff. The food is great. They can organise pretty much anything you want to do. Come here! Will definitely return. Very hot and air con struggled to combat the heat in the night.... So not much sleep. However the whole experience was really worth it. Memory will last a lifetime!. My boyfriend would have loved warm water in the shower, but what can you expect in the middle of the desert?. Nothing!. There was nothing to dislike. The bathroom in the room is separated by a wall but has only an arch connecting to the room without a door. My only suggestion would be to at least put a curtain for some more privacy. Bathroom light was a little dark. Pool is under construction but should be finished in a few months at this rate. Not a thing. We had some bad luck with the aircon, but the team went at great lenths to resolve. The desert was hot...!. too hot the air conditioning was not enough. The incredibly pushy sales. Every conversation with the staff ended in a sales pitch for excursions - the worst I experienced in all the accom I stayed in Morocco. Dinner was not outstanding. The internet is only in the common area, not the rooms.
