I made it my home in Marrakech. If this Riad is not available on the day I want to visit, I will not come to Marrakech. Sara and her brother and his family are real loving and caring people. I will not compromise with any other Riad when I am in Marrakech. In fact, when the room was not available I left the town.

Attentive to your needs, Sara and Moktur helped in many ways. Breakfasts were lovely and filling on the lovely terrazzo. The riad was very attractive, including the striking rooms.

Thought there was a usable pool but upon arrival realized that its an ornamental water fountain!
Staff we're very friendly and helped us with our travel arrangements to get to our next destination of Imlil. The breakfast was amazing. Very good value for money.

Nothing major to dislike we arrived late so perhaps some food on the evening would have been easier than finding Jamaa en fna.
Rooms were beautiful and very comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful. The place is peaceful and quiet amid the throng of the medina. Breakfasts were very good served on the terrace.

The staff were really friendly it was fantastic to have drinks of mint tea on arrival. They were helpful and cared a lot for our health and well being.
The owners are great. Run by the family, they make sure you are safe and get what you want out of your holiday. We felt welcome and felt like we could relax. We will definitely return.
The hospitality I experienced here was superb, better than any of the luxury hotels I've stayed in. *When I walked into the Riad from the madness of the Medina, I was invited to sit down and relax with delicious mint tea and pastries, and told that the check-in process could wait until I was ready *Homecooked tagine beef was very tasty, and served on the rooftop terrace at a time of my choosing *They washed my laundry and initially did not charge me (finally relented when I insisted) *Sara gave her personal cell phone number if I needed anything (especially helpful when the Sahara excursion operator put me on the wrong bus) *Breakfast was prepared and ready for me by 6:30am because I had to leave early for the excursion * Sara, Fatima, and Muktar were all very friendly and engaging, which is always nice for a solo traveler
Amazing Riad - brilliant staff, very friendly and helpful. Beautiful Riad, very clean, with a massive comfy bed. Lovely breakfast. beautiful terrace. We arranged for the transfer from the airport, which i would recommend, as the medina is a bit of a maze to start with, the transfer is 8 euros per person and is just added to your bill. The Riad is a 15 minute walk from the main square, but it wasn't a problem, it was quite nice to see some of the real traditional marrakech and get away from the tourists. it was really safe, we often walked back late at night and there were always lots of people around. We booked the 2 day desert trip through the riad, which was brilliant, a long day in the minibus, but worth it for the overnighter in the Sahara desert. i only wish i had booked the 3 day trip instead. I loved staying at this riad, think it is probably the best place i have stayed in terms of value for money and the amazing staff. Thank you very much for our lovely stay in Marrakech. :-)

10 min walking to center at night, not so good.
The Riad looks great, many details in the main areas and especially in the rooms. The family running the place is very kind and professional. Upon arrival I got some mint tea and sweets, then the route to the Djeema el-Fna was explained on a special hand drawn map. To make sure I wouldn't get lost during the first night. My room on the first floor was large and comfortable, so was the large bathroom. Airco worked good. Breakfast in the morning is amazing, a real treat. Make sure you eat in on the ground floor terrace. The terrace on the roof (very hot) is for dinner (skipped that). There's a small pool in the man area but haven't seen anybody using it, it's in the reception are. Bit weird to hop in while others are checking in. Please note that you can't pay with credit card, only cash. Wifi works good. It's tricky to find so use the pick-up service from the airport (mine was not there so I was happy I saved the Riad's number). The driver drops you at Bab Aydin, where someone from the hotel picks you up - 10 mins walk. You pay in the hotel.
It's not very centrally located, you have to walk the same 15 minute route through the Medina everytime you want to do something else. The area is safe but its just not very easy to drop by the hotel quickly to chill for a minute or charge your phone etc.

Staff was extremely helpful and friendly - could not have asked for more. Breakfast was spectacular. A 15 minute walk from the square which was very pleasant and meant that we saw parts of the city that we otherwise might not have seen.

As soon as we arrived at the Riad, it was like walking into paradise. They have a beautiful water feature in the middle of the main lobby which is lovely and sets the tone for the rest of the place. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful and helped no end. They took our baggage to our room for us as we arrived very early and made sure we had fresh fruit, water and tea every day. Our room was spectacular and beautifully decorated. It was actually a little dark inside but that was fine. We also had air conditioning as it was quite warm in the evenings so we stayed nice and cool. Breakfast was also a delight every morning with an array of local delicacies and more continental items. This was always served with freshly squeezed orange juice and fresh, hot coffee. Finally this leads me to the best part of this Riad. The terrace. Absolutely lovely and secluded. It was totally peaceful up there and we spent a lot of time relaxing under the tent. Fantastic.
I would have said no wifi in our room but I think this is more of a plus. I don't fancy sitting on Facebook during a romantic holiday but for some it may be a problem. There is however a perfect signal in the lobby!
Rooms are big and confortable and the common spaces are very nice; breakfast served on the roof is good and very pleasant. All the staff is very kind and helpful.
Rooms at the ground floor can be quite humid.
The Riad accommodated all our needs, it was designed and maintained beautifully and was in the true heart of Marrakech , not hidden on some outskirts. The staff made you feel as if nothing was to much trouble and for the cost it was an incredible find

I feel like staying at Riad Tamarrakecht made my trip to Marakech so much more amazing! First of all, the Riad was BEAUTIFUL! You walk into the Riad with warm welcomes and this beautifully decorated living space with a pool in the center of the room filled with roses and rose petals and the water fall in the back. So relaxing and romantic for being there with a group of friends. Sara, the host as I called her was so welcoming, extremely friendly, and genuinely cared about our well being and our experience at the Riad. Her entire family and all those that worked at the Riad were so friendly and nice. Sara and her family even took the time out there busy schedule to actually sit and chat with us and ask us about our day and make conversations with us even though Sara was the only one that spoke English! They have truly makes our experience in Marrakech truly incredible! I loved and enjoyed every minute staying at Riad Tamerrakecht and I would recommend it 100% to anyone anytime!

Beautiful riad, welcoming family. Very clean. Very helpful and caring. Their daughter (main organiser) is a credit to the place and her family.
20 mins walk to main square, would have preferred to be more central. Booked hotel transfer to airport, expensive at 40 euro for 5 persons and had to walk to the gate (10mins) in soaring heat with heavy bags for return flight and share a car with 3 local people plus driver, who were not even catching a flight. My daughter and son had to squeeze onto back seat with 2 others, this seat only accommodated 3 people, not happy about this for comfort and safety reasons.
The wonderful hospitality of the family,Mint tea and cake on arrival- Sara went to the trouble of drawing us a map. The room was very authentically decorated with a very comfortable bed. A bottle of water and oranges in our room and breakfast on the terrace was a real treat. The Riad was a little oasis, beautifully designed,it made you feel very relaxed after the busy Medina!
Because of the location some people might feel a little apprehensive about walking back late at night.

We had a lovely time in this riad, which is perfect if your budget won't stretch to some of the other riads. The service was excellent and the breakfast huge. Although not all the staff spoke English, we never had a problem. It is 15 minutes walk away from the central square in the medina but this suited us as it was also a bit quieter. Thanks very much!

This is a beautiful Riad if you want to stay in this area of the medina. It is run by the most kind and helpful family. They really go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Breakfast is outstanding with attention to every detail and presentation. I wish we would have had time to try the dinner as well. Very pleasant and beautiful as the photos describe. No trouble with check in or accommodations. Thank you!
Welcomed with mint tea and snacks by owner Moktar, who also gave us maps and showed us where the main attractions are (Jemaa el Fna is about a 20-minute walk away). Both rooms were spacious, clean and fairly comfortable. Excellent breakfast, served on the roof terrace when it was fine. Nice traditional decor. Transfer to airport on final morning.

Nothing about the guest house what so ever, quite a long way from attractions so bring some comfy shoes, but the location made me feel like i was truly experiencing the marrakech lifestyle.
Fantastic Riad in Marrakech, 15 minutes walking from the main square. The owners are always there to help you with any thing you need. The room was great, a really nice bed and a great bathroom. The breakfast is big and very good. You can take it on the roof or down close to the little pool. Really nice place.
At first, you get a little lost in the streets close to the riad, but then is easy and great walking always inside the bazaar.
