Everything about the riad was wonderful and it was a true retreat from the sensory stimulation on the streets. All of the staff is great, if you speak some French, you will be well set. If not, Hassan is there during the day and helped us a lot with ideas of what to do. Le Fondouk, a short walk from the riad, is a great source of a good meal in a nice setting on their rooftop terrace. The staff was extremely helpful at all times, and always willing to meet special requests (particularly Mustafa). Having an oasis of tranquillity within the noisy and busy city was great. It was very good to be personally welcomed by the owner on the first day, and given instructions on how to find the way around the city and what sights to see. Also, the terrace roof is excellent!.
所有评语 » The riad was a true gem. It gave you the feeling of being part of such an exotic place. Breakfast in your room? Where else can you get that?! The experience was exactly what I wanted. The fabulous roof terraces where you could chill out in the sun. Also, felt there was so much space that you didn't feel like there were other guests staying. Great location too.everything - rooms, staff, roof garden, breakfast, service, location - fantastic. fabulous decor, well situated for exploring souks. great place , excellent service , freindly staff. gardens. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. Our room was lovely and full of character. The riad itself is beautifully decorated and a comfortable place to relax. The dinner was delicious! Hassan, the boss, organized day-trips for us to the mountains and the beach and it was a wonderful experience. My husband and I thorougly enjoyed our stay at the Riad Amira Victoria. This is a very traditional Marrakech lodging house located within the Medina. Hassan was very helpul in booking excursions and arranging transfers to and from the airport. I would strongly recommend you use this service aas the Riad is difficult to find.The hotel staff are very accommodating and helpful. A lovely quiet oasis in the medina of Marrakech. The owner and the staff have been very friendly and helpful. As the riad is difficult to find you need a good map of the medina. Other reviewers reported they got lost - we did not. Warm welcome, nice polite staff, quieter area than expected, comfortable bed, lovely decor, decent breakfast, provide good taxi service from the airport. The Riad is excelent, just need an actual map of the souqs, wherever, very nice treat from the staff and the owner. Highly recomended!!!. felt very authentic morrocco. Yes, very much indeed. It was very close to the centre of town and the staff were very informative and helpful, casting light on a some haunts we would not have found otherwise. The staff were very friendly and the air-conditioned room was a wonderful relief after the heat of Marrakech!. The quiet ambiance. The breakfast was quite good. Overall quality was very ok, and located very close to the Place. Very likable host who speaks fluent English, French, German and Spanish.Very clean and cosy rooms (we had no. 1)room was cleaned every day. Breakfast was marrocan like, but pretty good, very nice stuff working there, not every one speaks english but with a few words french no problem. Neighbourhood was very safe, even in the evening (wasn´t our first stay in the medina, so we really know what we´re talking about). The owner, Hassan, was charming and most helpful. He made us feel very welcome.The Riad was charming. Very clean riad - nice room and roof terrace - helpful staff. The riad had lovely decor,staff were very helpful.The location of the Riad is good - close enough to walk to the main square once you've got your bearings. It's a peaceful place too, and the owner and staff are friendly. Comfortable and calm hotel. Good breakfast - you get what you pay for. Air conditioned rooms. Mint tea and biscuits on arrival. location of Riad is good. Rooms are cosy.Tranquility, large room. Mint tea!. The greenery on the terraces is beautiful - plenty of birds and even bees. the quietness after the chaos of the Medina. Just one regular staff member (other than the owner) capable of speaking English would be helpful, though we managed to communicate our wishes anyway. Have them send someone to get you at the airport and don´t count on taxi drivers to get you there. It´s not their fault, but not all the drivers are willing to drive the right way to get you to the riad correctly.Guests need to be told beforehand that they have to order dinner in the morning so that they don't show up expecting it and end up dissapointed. Also, the breakfast is the same every morning and it gets a little old after three days. It was good, but a little variety would have been nice. But these are small things; The Riad Amira Victoria is a fabulous place to stay!. It is a good 20 minute walk to the main square and it took us a couple of days to become familiar with the route without getting lost and the majority of bars and restaurants are to be found in the main square. We did try Fenoukes on our last night and found it to be excellent. There is no proper bar so it was difficult to get a drink in the evening.To me some things seem to be a bit overpriced: dinner, transport to the hotel - but perhaps these are just Marrakech prices ... Sometimes difficult to find a member of staff if you needed one in the evening.The coffee was terrible!. The location was quite difficult to find, but this is common on any place located at the Medina.Organised transport to the Airport and trips in the surrounding of Marrakech can be arranged by the Riad, but it´s a little overprized. i.e. taxi to the airport 15€ and when you pick one up on the street it´s max. 8 €. trip to the atlantik coast (Essauira) 30€, travel agency in town takes 20€. We had asked for a twin room but were offered a room with a double bed. However, they quickly put up an extra bed in the room. What was unfortunate was that they had taken a large booking, after our's we think, and had to move us to another Riad for our final night. Not good but the owner made efforts to compensate us with a complimentary dinner.The location was not good, most of the taxis we got did not know where it was and could not drop us at the door - it was a bit daunting wandering down alley ways especially when we weren't sure where we were going. The 5% charge for credit cards when paying this should be noted at the booking stage - having to rely on the owners conversion rate from Euro's to Morrocan currency.No. The only thing we did not like was trying to find our way back as it isquite difficult,although of course this is not the fault of the hotel.Breakfast wasn't great. And even though there is a large roof area, there isn't really anywhere very comfortable to sit in the sunshine. Location: difficult to reach, situated in some obscure part of the medina, don't try to get to the place on your own, it is just impossible and stressful. After a few days, you do eventually get to know how to reach the place.... otherwise the other main bad point is that any extra services (shuttle, dinner, excursion) is way overpriced. 5% surcharge for credit card payment. Apart from owner, no-one speaks any English so you really do need to speak French. Receptionist forgot to tell porter that we were leaving at 6am for airport so we had to find him and wake him up to let us out!. Map of city centre was sold at 20 Dirham, while other Riads offer it for free...The location of the hotel is a huge problem. It is almost impossible trying to find it - day or night. Even after 2 days we got lost everytime we tried to come back - while this may be funny at first - but after 2 days it is very frustrating. There was also an unpleasant smell coming from the drains throughout. friends having the room on the ground floor complained about loss of privacy and noise of people in the patio.
