Hotel Chems is a wonderful oasis far enough away from the chaos of the city! You can walk back from the main square past the beautiful church and through the beautiful gardens. The hotel is warm and inviting, the staff are friendly and it’s the perfect place to relax in Morocco without breaking the bank! The room was rather basic, but it was very comfortable and we enjoyed having a balcony overlooking the swimming pool. We enjoyed drinking cocktails by the pool and relaxing in the cool water .
所有评语 » Great value for money. We stayed here for our last 2 nights in Marrakech, having stayed the first 5 in a riad. It was nice to relax by the pool on the sun loungers. It wasn't too busy we got sun loungers each day. The room was a good size and clean. Breakfast was included with lots to choose from. We went into the main square for dinner so can't comment but the lunch was nice, they do a different special everyday which is cheaper than everything else but not on the main menu so so keep an eye o. Most staff were very friendly and always keen to help even though some seemed pretty clueless. They offered a baby sitting facility which was expensive but welcome. The swimming pool is excellent and location couldn't be better. Large suites were comfortable and practical for a family of four. Our 3 year old suffered developed the mumps on the 2nd day of our 4 night stay and the residential doctor was just great. The location was adequate for us as we did not want to right in the hazel and bustle of the Medina. The 15 min walk did not worry us at all and it was a good clean and easy stroll after a meal. The staff was helpful and friendly even though we had some language differences but nothing of concern. Wifi worked well in the lobby area. Very clean. Breakfast was very good and plentiful no issues there. Premier location - you can see Koutubia mosque from your room/swimming pool; the room was clean and the staff was friendly and very helpful. The area around the swimming pool was well taken care of - green and clean. It became our default location for Marrakech. The swimming pool was a great size and very clean. Welcome relief after walking around the souks. Great location too within easy walking distance of Jamma El Fna. Staff were very friendly. Hotel was very clean and quiet. Good breakfast, swimming pool with heated water, very good staff especially the waiters in the lobby bar - they do a really good job. Guarded and comfy car park, good location 10min walk from the main square. excellent location ,handy to main square,had every thing I required for relaxing holiday,friendly staff good breakfast an evening meal. Room cleaning staff very good. nice facilities, ok breakfast, nice warm pool, sunbathing area, very close to the famous souk (like a 10 minutes walk). It's clean the location it's perfect it's very near to jamada al fanaa ,the housekeeping doing great job . cleanliness helpful & friendly maids and majority of staff comfortable and cosy bedrooms good location. Really very good and silent place for trips near the Medina. Hotel pool, garden, court, private parking. Close to la place. Swimming pool was heated when needed. Buffet food. Excursions. Friendly staff. The location was great, good value, the staff very good specially the housekeeper. nice place, good prise, but it has to be renewed. The hotel is in a great place to walk to the centre, and at the same time feels very separate from the busy streets surrounding. For Marrakesch the location is fine. Just 5min to the Place Djemaa el- Fna. Nice Garden and Pool. Good value for price. Closed to Jemaa el-Fna. Location. Not much to like apart from location. Location isn't bad, quiet. The location. Absolutely nothing . I would not recommend this hotel at all,it happens to be one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. There are no facilities in the hotel ,such as room service , house keeping are so rude ,they don't change sheets !. nothing really a part from the location. Close to old-city. The only thing that we didn’t like is that people are allowed to smoke in the bar, but that’s to be expected everywhere in Morocco (even in the more expensive hotels and restaurants). Some of the older staff on reception could do with learning how to break a smile now and again. The breakfast was on the whole pretty good but staff disorganised and lack of fresh fruit was a real disappointment - you'll be happy if you like pastries. Poor choice of beers. One of the breakfast attendants needs re-training on how he interacts with the customers, he obviously did not think he was there to help or be of service. The rest of the staff were very pleasant. One individual does not warrant a bad review if the hotel in general. Nitpicking: the balcony doors could use some renovation :-). Breakfast was a bit chaotic. The twin room includes two seperate beds joint one to another. There were no linen for the pillows which made our sleeping not fully comfortable, WiFi does not work in the rooms which may probably bring more business to the lobby bar but is very inconvenient. only that I could not speak French , an the holiday finished to soon. Front of house staff have limited English and not one smile. Wi Fi in common areas very hit and miss. No brochures on Marrakech and only map of city available was a single sheet photo copied that many times it was almost useless. in the pianobar there was playing a guy on the keyboard... music stile: james last. The staff not much friendly and they never see them smil with customer . I asked for kindles in the room up on my arrival but unfortunately they didn't fulfill for what am asking for. receptionist staff - one was quite unhelpful and rude at times english speaking staff are very very limited, as hotel is setup for french speaking tourists. all information for customers in french only. very difficult for english speakers. Very soft mattress in the bed. WiFi is not available in the room and sometime problem with access to Internet in the hall. The bed was loose and soft. the hotel is a bit old, you have to renew big part of it. Cups and saucers should be placed on the same place every morning, mint tea always nearly cold or the tea pot empty, some cereal bowls are chipped. wifi is limited in the hall. Engels staff and old guests. Staff didn't look like they knew what they were doing a lot of the time. If you are an English speaker then be prepared to learn either French or Arabic!. The breakfast is not 4* like. Especially after 9am. Many rooms just have Parking Lot/Tennis court views. Generally staff only speak arabic & French. Few that do are very helpful. Hotel is dilapidated. Service. Cats everywhere one came in my room several times from the balcony .also in snack area Nxt to pool .no wifi in rooms only stairs and lobby which for me is the main reason I changed hotels after one night.buffet is 150 Dihs. So called wi-fi coverage was the worst I have experienced in 3 months of travelling full-stop. Bar not having any internet at all, the was as bad as it gets. If internet is important to you - it is to me - do not stay here. Certain staff were also less than helpful - in fact seemed rather disinterested, although not all. no internet available in room, very slow connection in lobby. Hotel staff didn't speak English and if you didn't speak French or Arabic they just ignored you and any needs you may have had. staff,questioning a lot is like staying in the army with soldiers.,security guys so stupid annoyed me a lot,was no privacy at all for someone trying to enjoy his holiday. The quilt and the pillows were very very dirty. Their colors changed from white to grey! The staff was careless. The room was uncomfortable and impractical. At the reception no english spoken,internet slow and for the price you play should be free on the room to. Breackfast is very simple cheese is very low quality . No shops or restaurant around and buffet for dinner is to exspencive. Bed is very ancorfoyable. Staff not friendly. Terrible hotel! Very old and requires immediate renovation! Wi-fi works within a 2 meters radius from reception!!! Unfriendly and unhelpful staff!!! Rather it is hostel than a hotel! You can choose this dirty place if you want to spoil your time in beautiful Marrakech!!!. Very bad location, very old hotel. Not clean at all. Room very smiley very bad.
