Rifugio Perugia was exactly what I expected. It's position was perfect for walking in the Sibillini which was why we went there.
I know those running the refuge want to put bathroom facilities into each room ( currently they are shared) but this will cost EUR 300K and they don't have this amount of dosh.

Accommodation exceptionally well laid out and comfortable. Bath same
size as room. Plenty of spread-out space to sort your gear. Staff
extremely helpful. Direct access to hiking. Note that the rifugio is
not actually in Castelluccio overlooking the Piano Grande, but six
miles away.
