It was in the perfect location. Only a short walk from the train station and still very quiet. Our room was also quite large for an European hotel. Buffet breakfast and the beds were very comfortable. Location. Near the Rail station and also nearby were laundromat, market, several good restaurants and souvenir shops. i like the location of the hotel its within city centre.

I was looking for a hotel close to Roma Termini as I had to fly out in the morning, having been in other parts of Italy and not overly fond of big city Rome. Everything about Giglio dell'Opera was nice — basic in many ways, but pleasant and helpful. Had I needed to stay longer in Rome, I'd certainly not have moved.The hotel was much more comfortable then I expected for the amount of money I paid for it. The room was clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel was convenient for me. The hotel was easy to find. It was very close to metro station. Excellent location, in the city centre closest both to main transport means and cultural/historical matters, yet quiet. Good standard breakfast although I would prefer fresh-made coffee rather than the drink machine.How close it was to the train station, shops and Roman ruins. Clean comfortable and quiet rooms and lovely staff. The hotel is well situated in the town, easy to rich every interesting places in Rome. The convenient location, very near the centre of everything.Breakfast, air conditioning, close to train terminal. accessibility to major sites and transportation. Nice hotel for real price. Breakfast times 7am to 10am and cleanliness of hotel. Near the train station and easy access to metro. the room was big,close to almost all important monuments. Proximity to the Opera House. nice breakfast service. ok to stay for one/two nights, but the overall smell in the hotel was bothersome. The only positive thing about this hotel was the distance to the centre,which was quite short.The hotel was close to the train station. I did not like anything else. The manager was very rude. The room was dirty and the bathroom totally disgusting. We asked for a room with a fridge as promised then the manager got nasty and wanted to shift a fridge from another room into ours. The room where they went to get the fridge also had no fridge. It was very frustrating. We gave up. it is near the center. Receptionist on checking in at arrival wasnt that friendly, very blunt and business like on sat 17th, everyone else was friendly and smiled. Especially the lady in the breakfast room, lovely lady. There was no food. breakfasts. No washcloths, no real pillows. N/A. Would have been good if we had been able to stay on the ground floor instead of the first as we had to carry our baby son and pushchair up stairs to the first floor as the lift was very small.clean mildew on bath tub sides. Noice from building work in room next to mine in the morning. But guess that is why the price was lowered. quite limited breakfast. receptionists are not so kind. Our room was a bit small, but I'm sure all the others were fine. It served it's purpose well. Breakfasts.The breakfast was below standard and the tables were not changed. Packed croissants at breakfast, rather than fresh croissants.This is the second time I stayed here. No problems the first time. This time... not as good as the first. The tub leaked, staff not as helpful as before... Air conditioning broken in original room, so moved to another room where bathroom had not been modernised : cracked wash basin, floor flooded when showering, depressing brown tiling, Small lounge area was taken over by rude, l Kontiki travel group - we were asked to leave so they could have a meeting. They seemed to think it was their private office, not a public room. Carpets:worn and not clean. the only thing we did not like was the view from our room window it was of air condition units which were also noisy at nights. same breakfast everyday.air condition,breakfast,real cappucino(there was a machine for the coffe)!!!!. Breakfast was of a very poor standard, staying at another hotel inTuscany afterwards we experienced a first class breakfast service.Yes, no window in the room. The smell of "old, stuffed and dirty air", the breakfast was very simple even for a budget hotel. The front desk staff was not very friendly, the carpet in the room was filthy as well as the bathroom. I would not recommend this hotel. The only good thing about breakfast was the sweet lady who served it, but the last day of our stay we could not take it anymore and had to go somewhere else for bfast. The personnel and breakfast service was very dissapointing.During our trip to Italy we stayed at six hotels ranging in price from 120 to 180 euros. This hotel was 180 euros and our original room was skid road quality. A bed so old you felt the springs when sat on, cigarette burns in the bedding, black stains in the toilet and shower stalls, filthy walls, and chunks and chips out of the plaster everywhere. After a hissy fit, moved us to better room. The advertised features of the hotel were not supplied. It did not have a fridge just an empty cupboard. The room was dirty. There was no balcony as promised. The coachroaches in the bathroom was a real turn off. The bathroom was very mouldy and to sit on the toilet you had to position yourself under the side of the hand basin. We asked for another room and the manager totally refused.at the begining the man on the entrance was very (nonhelful),for him the hotel is a 3star hotal, so the absence of a microwave is normal, and that the room is not clean especially the toilette it is also normal for a 3star hotel(very astonished), another old man was very gentel.
