The place is absolutely outstanding. We actually took quite a few photos outside and inside. The omellete for breakfast was amazing and I wish I had of ordered it the previous day. My wife also loved the breakfast choices and all were top quality. About a 15 min walk to the bus terminal, but well worth the walk. The staff were excellent and very accommodating. It was wonderful. The staff was very helpful. The buffet breakfast was very good and we did not want for anything. We shopped at the Blarney Woolen Mill - we went to the Castle Medieval dinner and really enjoyed that. We drove up to the Cliffs of Moher. There was a wedding while we were there and we observed the facilities decorated in an excellent manner.
所有评语 » I really like the Victorian design of the guest house. It was a bit different. The room was really nice and cosy and it wasn't noisy. Also it's directly across the road from UCC, which is a beautiful campus for a walk. The staff were friendly and it was within walking distance of the city. I liked that this guest house had a lot of individual style and personality, rather than the utilitarian and practical decor in most of the B&B's in Cork. Sheila and Angela were terrific - very welcoming and helpful, and the included breakfast was way above and beyond the norm!. The room was very pretty and comfortable, arched ceilings and lots of character. Bathroom was tiny but clean and had a great shower. Breakfast was wonderful and fresh, cooked to order. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was free which was great. We loved our stay. The lovely friendly atmosphere in the house. /the cleanliness and the freshly cooked breakfast; no microwaves here. Also, the lady who served us was a mine of information regarding where to go and what to see. I would recommend this guest house to anyone visiting Cork. The home was beautifully decorated and was quite posh compared to other B&B's we stayed at. The hostess recommended a pub down the street that was a step into the past and wonderful. They also offered a vegetarian breakfast that was a nice change. Very welcoming, friendly atmosphere. Staff is very nice and polite. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with a luxurious touch. Close to the city centre and shopping area (20 min walk). Excellent selection of breakfast, which is very tasty. Breakfast at the Inn was fantastic. The room was very clean and comfortable. We've stayed here before and have recommended it to friends. We will be back to stay again as there is a lovely atmosphere, lovely food, nice rooms and helpful, friendly staff. Was greeted with a very friendly welcome and owner was more than willing to help with directions and advice on where to eat. Everyone was friendly. The only negative which was very disappointing was that when my wife's credit card was put through the hotel decided to charge her £ instead of € which was at a terrible rate and much worse than what we would have received from our bank. Just the 3.5% margin would have resulted in a no! We were supposed to be offered the choice and only noticed when I went through the receipts back in London. I thought the bathroom could have been cleaner - there was some mold around the tub/shower area. We loved the room and the sheets, the bedding was amazing - we will come again. Had to carry heavy bags up three flights of stairs! But that's to be expected in this style of home. If I had mobility issues or problems, I would have asked for a room on a lower floor or for assistance with the bags, and I am sure the friendly staff would have helped willingly. As it was, we managed fine. The regulator for the shower power was a bit stiff therefore it was difficult to control the heat/amount of water coming out of the shower. Minor thing though. Parking was tight Breakfast only started at 8, a little but earlier would be better for business travellers. As we had to wait for breakfast because of lack of tables most of the chopped up fruit had gone and was not replaced, but I didn't ask for it to be topped up. The rest of breakfast was lovely. I had problems accessing the internet. I'm not sure if it's because I kept mistyping the password given in the guest guide, or if the connection was very poor because my room was located on the last floor, too far from the modem/router. Unfortunately the chef was late for work and there was quite a delay on breakfast and I had to go to my meeting. Otherwise everything else was lovely & the breakfast tasted great when it arrived. Thank you. The room was very small and we were a bit cramped in the room. The breakfast takes very long time! And it's just an hour and a half, I think this is not enough cus some ppl want to have enough sleep at weekends! Service during breakfast is not that good! We orderd a pancake and she said ok, after half an hour or 45 min she came and said sorry I didn't do it because you already ordered two plates (we're two)! Why she didn't tell us when we were ordering!. At first I thought I would have issues with the small front entrance parking as I had to depart early in the morning. But after explaining to the owner my situation she ensured that my car would not be obstructed and in the end there was not issue.....so don't be put off by the parking unless the guesthouse is fully booked up. Nothing. Curtains a bit tired. Needs upgrading. I felt the room was a little on the small side, not much room to move around. Breakfast took way too long and we had to leave to catch a tour before everyone had a chance to eat. They are not equipped to handle big parties. It is also much smaller than it looked in pictures.
