  It was a very nice hotel in Agra. It is fairly close to the Taj Mahal which was a welcome since I easily walked it to enter this exquisite structure at sunrise. This hotel is directly associated to the Maya Hotel across the main street and found their restaurant to be very good and tasty.   We had the most wonderful experience at the hotel. We arrived early one morning (8.30am) and were escorted to our room; asked for a late check out the next day and once again, they obliged. We could not be more happy with The Gateway Hotel Fatehabad Agra and will sure to recommend it to others who wish to visit Agra. We loved the fact t - The hotel was beautifully decorated, the rooms were spacious and well equipped. We booked ourselves in for a massage which was very good although at £35 for an hour - quite expensive. Staff were friendly and helpful although probably a little too imposing. The pool looked lovely although it was too cold when we visited to actually swim in it. The room had a a view of the Taj Mahal.

The staff were really helpful and picked us up and dropped us off at the train station, organised our tours on the Ganges and the temples etc. (which were very reasonable and also very good) and basically ensured our stay was good as it possibly could be. The room - I liked the fact that the hotel is very clean and fresh, having been newly built in 2012, and there is attention to keeping a high standard of cleanliness. There are also modern conveniences, and the food is good. The owner and all the staff work harmoniously as one family, and there is a good, cheerful feeling, and all are genuinely helpful, including the humble, kind tour guide Bindi, who told us things about the ghats that we were not aware of.
