We were able to thoroughly enjoy Agra and made new friends at the homestay, especially the host were - Aman Honestay is such a lovely place to stay tucked away on a quiet gated street but still close to monuments like the taj and Agra fort. The host family is lovely and so accommodating, they will help you in any way possible. The rooms are large and comfortable. we had a large attached bathroom with a good hot shower.   First time in 4 months I have had a proper hot shower in India. The wifi worked well in my room, I did not have to go looking for a hot spot. The location is great, right near the main ghat, and I was actually taken and shown where I could eat, where to get autos, how to find my way back to hotel. I was able to leave my luggage and use room facilities for no extra cost in the afternoon, as I had a night train. I fe - I had a wonderful staying in Ganges Inn, and I found the place very clean, with a very friendly and helpful staff, on a wonderful location if your plans are to stay very close to the main Gaths on the Ganges river. I've visited as a solo female traveller and also I felt extremely safe. I definitely would recommend it for anyone who wants to experience Varanasi.

  Great location! Manager Sanjeev is a very helpful and knowledgeble man, and I learned a lot about Varanasi and India through him. His suggestions on resturants and shops were also good. - The manager is courteous, service minded, genuinely tries to accommodate and please every one, and meet their needs.   We had a wonderful stay in this nice, family run guesthouse in the middle of Varanasi`s Oldtown. From the moment we walked in, we really felt at home there.   I was expecting the worst when I saw the noisy street and the dark ground floor, but when he to us up to our room I was very pleasantly surprised. I think this place was the best value - I was pleased to be picked up by a family member from the airport ( Private taxi 700 rupees) as the guest house is very much in the centre of the maze of alleys in Varanasi which initially did seem daunting.
