The apartment is extremely spacious and comfortable with a big balcony and a fabulous view over the old harbour, and the location is wonderful. It is very well-equipped and I loved the heated floors. There is a wonderful amount of closet and storage space, and access to very good tv channels as well as a small library in the reception area of videos and books. And every apartment comes with a cell phone for local use which was very useful. For a reduced rate, the owners will arrange for early c.
所有评语 » This was our first stop on a tour of Scandanavia, and I am confident our best accommodation. The apartment was perfect. It was large, clean, bright, well located, and contained all the right amenities. Despite being an apartment, clean towels were deivered daily, and the trash emptied. Owner Ilhan was charming, and eager to offer assistance. A cell phone from which guests can make local calls for free is included, and Ilhan encouraged us to use the phone to call him if we encountered any issu. The location of the appartments is fantastic. You are right by the harbour for whale watching, Icelandic excursions for any bus trips, the main shopping street and tourist attractions (although there aren't that many in Reykjavik! - the new concert venture Harta is worth visiting and a nice place to chill out and grab some food). The check in was easy - keys were left in the foyer and the manager was always on the end of the phone. The location is quiet and the rooms are well appointed (if not . Great place to stay in Reykjavik! Well equipped kitchen really helped stay in Iceland because restaurant is very expensive (2 coffees & 2 pastries costs almost $20!). Also the hotel location is in front of ocean! You can enjoy the view from your room. Free wifi and TV with HDMI cable let me connect my i-Phone to TV and watch my favorite shows when we were tired of walking or the weather was not good. This was a small apartment type hotel with a small living room - dining - kitchen - bedroom. Furniture was beautiful - super clean and comfortable - close to the wharf. Wonderful restaurant right across which has a superb breakfast of eggs, pancakes, bacon, smoothie, juice for a low price. They even have an Iceland film which although I did not watch I think would be worth watching. Superb place. The apartment was spotless clean. The owners were away at the time of my stay, but they left clear instructions. The apartment was very conveniently located near the Old Harbour (for bicycle rental, whale watching, and the Northern Lights cruise, Cafe Haiti, Icelandic Fish and Chips), as well as a mere 5-10 minutes away from the Landakotskirkje Catholic cathedral and downtown Reykjavik). Very happy to have chosen this place for our trip to Reykjavik and Iceland. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Rented a spot in the garage, which was exellent. You get a electronic transmitter to open the garage doors, and an electronic key card to open both the entrance and room door. These worked without any problem. My only comment would be that during our 6-day stay we never saw the owners and there was never anyone at reception, but Lara was always immediately available by phone when we had any questions or needs. There is very limited cover at reception so if you want personal service there is none of that. The nearest large cheap supermarket is about a 10/15 minute walk and it would be good for them to provide milk in the room. I loved everything about this place. Wish I could go back and stay there. A basket of fruits only showed at the first day, but they provided two tomatos & a half of cucumber as vegetables every day. They didn't resupply shampoo & shower gel even though we stayed there over a week. The satellite tv only offered 4 channels and the only news English channel was China. High tech electric light control may take some getting used to for some guests but very efficient. The views from the windows were not as advertised. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Minor complaint: the place was actually too high-tech! It took us into the second day to figure out how to use all the elaborate light switches, and controlling the plumbing fixtures was almost as much of a challenge. We stayed on the 2nd floor (American way of counting stories), the front was 2nd floor but back was 1st floor. At night, locals were behind our flat and talked louder. It was too noisy!. House keeping not to that extend for long stay. There was no one available at check in or check out! We didnt see any one!. Nobody at check-in/check-out. Only the shower water is not hot, just warm. In winter the temperature is not enough.Cannot enjoy bathing.Need hurry to finish. Nothing. there must be new and unused cleaning clothes /towels for every new customer in the kitchen. nothing. Nothing. All was good. nothing. But noisy and soulless. It's positioned near one of Iceland's most busy roads and you hear the car noise. No flavor of Iceland.
