We had a wonderful stay at Kalmar Pensio. It is a beautiful 120 year old mansion comverted into a Pension in an excellent location. It is very near the Chain Bridge in Budapest, right behind the Gellert Baths and so easily accessible to all major sightseeing venues yet in a residential area. The Manager, Ester made us very welcome and was very informative and helpful. We had a huge room with a lovely balcony overlooking the garden and a huge bathroom! What more could you ask for?!

This place is great! The owner, Viktor, is a very nice guy and was extremely helpful. We arrived late in the evening and he arranged a taxi to pick us up from the airport.
The Budavar Pension is clean, quiet and is in an excellent location, very close to the Fisherman's Bastion, Buda Castle and is only a 5 to 10 minute walk from the Chain Bridge. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Everything. The owner is the real deal, does not just go thru the motions but really cares that you are happy and taken care of. Takes the time to go the extra 100 miles, for advice to plan your day or your trip, to make custom eggs for breakfast, to make sure you have everything you need in your room. cheap accomodation, near the highway and near to Budapest, relatively clean. Lady at the desk speaks a little German so basic communication was possible, which can be sometimes quite hard in Hungary.

An amazing view, an excelent breakfast, very nice hostes. Despite the fact that the pension is quite far away from the centre, it has an excelent connection to the tram 59 where are many parking spaces, near the entrance to the grave yard.
