  I needed a late night stopover so chose the cheapest hotel I could find, not really expecting much, just a place to crash for one night. It was a delight to find such a genuine, friendly, helpful place.   We loved our stay at this hotel. Very friendly staff, great service, personal approach. We felt at home there. The room had a retro style to it which reminded me my childhood home. I loved it. Actually, there is free wireless almost everywhere you go in Athens. Our room was cleaned daily and towels changed. Every day we would - The staff at Acropolis were fantastic...very helpful and friendly. The location in the Plaka was convenient. We were able to walk most places and did not have to use the metro much at all. From our room the wifi was weak, but we could use a neighboring hotel's wifi and it was a good signal. We didn't eat the breakfast so I'm not sure how it was. The fridge in the room was not already turned on, so we had to turn it on. It was helpful to have an aditional mirror outside the bathroom for getting

  Athinais Hotel is perfect. Great location in a nice area. The room and bathroom are very clean. Some rooms have a balcony, some others have a nice view on Licavitos.The staff is friendly.   The location couldn't be better. The view of the Acropolis from the rooms located between the 7th and 9th floor is sublime.
