We chose the Acropolis View Hotel as it is close to the Acropolis and walking distance from Plaka area. The Hotel Manager was really helpful and is on the business for many years. So he was able to offer many different options. At first, we were planning to go to some of the islands... and the manager was keen to help suggesting a travel agency that could take care of everything. Then we decided to rent a car and drive along the cost and visit some remote sights. The manager not only recommende.
所有评语 » Great location off the main street so was quiet. Excellent view of the Acropolis. Nice roof top to sit & soak in the view. Close to Plaka area. Hotel staff very attentive, excellent recommendations where to eat in the area. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room but free boiling water readily available from staff in reception, also could purchase tea coffee alcohol etc 24 hrs a day Taxi service to & from the airport organized by the hotel which meant no surprises with cost. Taxi. Staff was amazingly accommodating. Helped us set up transfers to and from the airport and the cruise port - the cab driver they connected us with was great! He even pointed out sights to notice as he drove us to our destination. The hotel manager also arranged for us to have a very early breakfast the day of our departure, since our flight was before the designated breakfast time. Just fantastic. Overall, a great experience. Rooms are small (but what you expect in Europe) and clean, views of. For an overnight, quick stay with the primary intention to see the Acropolis, this is the perfect place to stay. The Manager greeted us at reception and was really helpful, telling us all we needed to know plus organised a taxi and early breakfast for us as we left before breakfast buffet times. We thought we'd get maybe a juice and croissant but instead we had a full breakfast on offer. Good value. Rooms were perfectly clean and well equipped for what we needed. Our room had balcony view of th. Acropolis View hotel is perfectly situated, meaning that you can hang around downtown athens walking, without needing any bus or taxi. The staff was very helpful, as an example they offer to serve you a full breakfast earlier than the normal hours if you have a plane or a ferry at dawn... and they leave you have what you want even if you arrive a few minutes AFTER the official end hour of the breakfast.... The rooms are correct in size, confort, and cleanness, beds are good, and the quality pr. Acropolis view benefits immensely from its location, otherwise it is a pretty average hotel. It is truly just a 5 minute walk to the Acropolis and you can easily walk to Plaka or Thesseion in 10-15 minutes. The Acropolis Metro station is the closest. The staff is friendly and helpful. They serve a solid breakfast, but nothing out of the ordinary. Plenty to choose from. The roof terrace offers a great view of the Acropolis, especially at night. The rooms are nothing special. Clean, but not luxur. We were welcomed by Dimitris in a very friendly but courteous manner - so rare these days - who was very helpful. We only stayed the 1 night but Dimitris said we could book out two hours later which was great as we had a late flight out from Athens. Would recommend the hotel especially for the location (close to Plaka and Monastiraki) and the excellent staff. The roof terrace is well worth a visit for the great view. Both Dimitris and Margarita very helpful, polite and would go back again just . The best part of this hotel has to be the very kind and helpful staff and close proximity to the Acropolis. Before we headed out to the Acropolis we asked for recommendations for dinner and we were not disappointed at all. Great Location. The roof top garden was wonderful as well. Just being able to sit up there with a glass of wine and look at the Acropolis and wonder what it would have been like years ago was just fantastic. We really really enjoyed this hotel, We would stay here again in a h. The hotel is very close to the Acropolis and you get a great view from the rooftop garden. It is very close to nearly all sites. The new room we had was good. We had a balcony. The bathroom was okay, the room was clean. It's the only room we had in Greece where we didn't have to hold the shower. The tv worked. In the other room it didn't. The breakfast is very good for the price. I liked everything!! It is really near the Acropolis, a 10 minute walk and you are already on the top of the Acropolis! 20 minutes away from Plaka to the right and from Monastiraki to the left. Three blocks away from the New Acropolis Museum. The environment is really nice and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and well served! You will enjoy your stay in this hotel!. This is a good find in Athens and very well situated - approx. one block from the Acropolis and close to all the activities of the Plaka area. Always felt safe and most if all the people in the immediate are were very helpful. The staff were very accommodating to us and were never to busy to help and suggest or give helpful hints. Would definitely recommend it. The view from the balcony and the rooftop were amazing. You could walk and climb all over Athens and not find a better view. The proximity to shopping, the astonishing Acropolis museum and other attractions is excellent. Wi-fi was adequate. I can't even imagine how one could find a better hotel for any price, let alone the price you pay for this one. Fabulous location - our balcony looked right at the Acropolis. Hotel was quiet, friendly and had relaxing atmosphere and was close to everything we needed, ie, shops, markets, museum, restaurants. supermarket. We walked to the Acropolis a few times and had drinks on the roof later with fabulous views of it and the surrounds. Will return. He staff was very friendly and helpful, the room is very tidy and clean. Excellent location - in the safe area, you can get to main attractions on foot, I enjoyed the view to Acropolis from the roof. Breakfast was the best we had on our trip; hotel was best value for money. When I go to Athens again, I will stay in this hotel. Staff was excellent..they allowed me to store package there for 2 weeks before stay. They made breakfast for us at 2:30 am before our early flight back to DC...They arranged a taxi for that early departure for a good price!! View on roof is excellent, breakfast is great, rooms clean even if small...perfect for us!!!. Right near the Acropolis, we had a lovely stay here. We could see the Acropolis from our bedroom and this was quite spectacular at night. The rooftop terrace was great and a good location for a drink at night. Breakfast was good. Metro is close and allows easy transfer to the airport. Our time in Athens was great!. The roof terrace and the view of Acropolis, the location in central Athens, the quiet residencial area, closure to Plaka and the Acropolis museum, the cleanliness of the hotel, excellent friendly hotel staff AND a very good price, definitely value for money. This was my second visit to the hotel and I will return. The hotel is beautifully positioned with a great view from the room balcony of the Parthenon. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful -a young man on the night desk was particularly so . Breakfasts at the hotel are very good . Good buffet breakfast which could take up to enjoy on the roof terrace with fabulous view of acropolis, good location for most tourist attractions, not too noisy because its in a side street, staff friendly and helpful, there is a tourist information nearby close by the exit of the metro. The view of the acropolis from the balcony was very good, but from the rooftop is even better. Breakfast was good. It is close to the akropoli subway station about 5 minutes, and there are restaurants and shops nearby. They arrange tours and the staff is very attentive. This hotel gave us an amazing view of the acropolis! It is a beautiful view, especially at night when it is all light up. The staff were very accomodating (giving us breakfast at 4am so we could catch our flight) and friendly directing us to where we wanted to go. Building noise from next door but only during the day. Don't be put off by the scaffolding next door!. The view on Acropolis is quite indirect , in spite of what the name of the hotel could let you think... but you can see it!. We really didn't find anything to dislike about this hotel. However, as mentioned before by someone else, the door locks on the room are a little odd. Once we figured it out we had no problems. When we first arrived, as this was our second stay at the hotel, we fully expected a room with a balcony. We were given a very pokey room, with a broken handle. the shower was in a very small bath, with the rim way to high to get into. It is dangerous. It would have been very stuffy. The location is great, but the noise is dreadful. Bring your earplugs. Not the hotel's fault, but there was construction ( or rather, what sounded like destruction) going on in the same building adjacent to the hotel. Pounding, sawing and yelling started promptly at 7:30 AM...on the plus side, it served as an effective wake up call and probably prevented me from sleeping the beautiful days away. The shower was extremely small and difficult for a big tall guy...very insignificant cons compared to the pros. The showerhead in the bathroom needed to be replaced & the shower in our friend's room was very difficult to stand up in as it was a mini bath with a step. I don't suggest going to the hotel's recommended restaurant down the road. There was a "misunderstanding" about what we ordered and we could have paid 60 Euros more had we not expressed our concerns. Air con wasn't working despite warm day and lots of road noise in rooms at the back of the building. Almost every morning you need to call reception to ask them turn on hot water. the room was a bit small if you carry 2 o more big suitcases. About 20 min walk from the monastiraki but very safe. Maybe could have 1 more power outlet - not really an issue though. Poor wifi. Internet a bit slow. Shower head not fixed to wall. The shower was so small that if u are a bigger person I'm not sure u could fit in it!. Nothing. No tea or coffee facilities in room. Limited space for storing cases for just an overnight stop. Not sure what the room we had booked would have been like, as the one we had wasn't terribly large. It's a little bit far from metro station, and it's a road going up. We had to drag our baggage all the way to the hotel, which was a little tiring. the hotel was doing decoration, so during the day it was quit noisy. The shower head wouldn't stay up on the wall, but that was a minor thing since the rest of the room was nice. The rooms are a bit small but great value for the money. I have no dislikes. Nothing !!. The air conditioning was not fully effective (with 35 degrees outside). Nothing. Minor problems needed attention in the rooms, like broken toilet paper holders, shower holder and towel rack.(we stayed on three separate occasions and all needed some attention. Air conditioning didn't work reliably but the weather was good thankfully so no significant problems there Room was rather small and no safe was available. With luggage, it is a tight squeeze. Breakfast is basic but filling.
