  Sunrise Hotel is five minutes walking away from the city center and from the Caldera. It is run by wonderful persons that made us feel like at home. The swimming pool is very nice. It wasn't directly in any of the cities which was very nice. You will most likely want a car, but we talked to the front desk and reserved on for us. Beside,there are 2 supermarkeks in 5 minutes walking distance. everything there is cheapper than other markets on this island.

Eva, the hostess is a wonderfully friendly and helpful person. We didn't arrive until midnight, she left us a welcome note and instructions about the key. She went so far as to make us a take-away breakfast when we had to leave to catch the midnight ferry. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is meticulously clean, and the beds are the softest I've experienced in Greece so far. The pool area is as good as any luxury hotel, and the outdoor gardens are lovely.
