  Freiburg is a pretty pricey place with a shortage of cheap hotels for the Sterling traveller and this is one of the more reasonable though at £50 per night it's not quite budget. But it was extremely clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The wifi was good which is becoming an essential these days.
