This visit summed up the difference between B&Bs and hotels. After a
stopover in a just adequate hotel in Beaune at a barely adequate hotel,
for a lower price we had the pleasure of staying at Champagne B&B.
Welcomed with a cup of tea and a chat, directed to local restaurants, we
stayed in a spacious and comfortable room (particularly considering the
age of the property). We were served a pleasant breakfast which we ate
with our hosts, and then directed to an excellent local Champagne
