The hotel has been / is being substantially modernised and there are currently some odd contrasts between "before" and "after" - eg very advanced bathroom squeezed into somewhat limited space and alongside a small bedroom.   Great place to stay when visiting Strasbourg. Clean, comfortable with friendly staff. We stayed a second day. Transport into the city by bus and tram was quick and easy to use and at 3Euro for a return trip very reasonable. - Overnight stop on journey across France, close to motorway and near enough to Strasbourg that you could go there too.   The hotel is beautiful. It was much nicer than the pictures showed. The only rooms available were the junior suite and after we saw it we were so glad we paid extra for it. The room was beautiful and large and worth the extra price. Everything at this hotel is pristine and reaps with French charm.
